Uh-oh... I will have to tune in and see what’s going on with Justice Roberts.
A drop of magic Lovely flower pics
The Hinge of fate in Iraq Tony Blankley
The Hidden basis for hostility to Israel Michael Medved
A Major problem no one's discussing Robert Samuelson
The former slave who was a soldier Neat story, and congrats to the daughter who's worked on the family history project. Having done this myself, I really appreciate her story.
Defeatism Defeated?Tom Sowell
Good to hear of your recovering, Yank. Getting around okay now?
Your daily breakfasts, lysie, are a joy to behold...food for the eyes!
Jemian, send my best wishes to JT that he have a very Happy Birthday!
Have a good day, everyone!
The Dems have already baked their Surrender Party Cake, and don't want any facts which ACTUALLY come out of Iraq to get in the way of their plans.
Getting around just fine. The prep was lousy, but the procedure was a snap.
They were starting the local anesthetic, and to let them know when I started to feel the affects. About 30 seconds later I told them a felt a bit light headed. That's the last thing I remember until I woke up an hour later.
Slept most of Monday. Back to work on Tuesday.
Big WOW!
Tuesday.....(not only on TuesdayS...LOL)
I am thankful that I don't have to do it for another 10 years. The prep, where you have to drink a gallon of the "solution" in 3 hours is the most painful part of the whole thing. I had to drink a full glass of that concoction once every 15 minutes until the gallon was consumed. (This occcured on Sunday afternoon.) The whole point is to clean your system out, and it does.
I got through most of it, and at the end was pretty saturated.
I sat down at the couch when I was through, and my well meaning daughter asked if I wanted a drink of water?
Ahhh....... youth!
Doctor has grounded me from my yard work, got to go see him today (no doubt he hs a bill to pay), he told D that I might have new=moan=yaa, brilliant he is, all this knowledge comimg from a phone conversation with my d. I am thinking I got me a good ole summer cold....
Good morning everybody. We took a day trip over to the Four Corners monument yesterday. In 60 seconds I had my feet in CO, NM, AZ and UT. Pretty neat.
I also bought some Navajo pottery at one of the local stands there. Laid down some heavy plastic, let me tell you, but it’s my favorite sort of Indian pottery, beautifully muted colors, intricate geometric designs.
What was most beautiful though, was the rugged desert mountain scenery of the place. Tall spires and stand-alone monuments that we could tell USED to be the front of Mesa Verde, but eroded back behind leaving them standing and what is now the front of the mesa sides....all a mile?(big guess, hard to tell distance from the windshield) apart.
BTW, somebody should alert Al Bore that erosion is happening to the place as we speak. He needs to get right on it and do something about it, I’m sure it’s everybody’s fault except the liberals, and we all need to be taxed over it. /s
The San Juan river runs through the middle of the valley and that area is starkly contrasted with green. And deep winding arroyo’s have been carved into the desert ground from the heavy rains that must pound the area sometimes. Very impressive. The desert mountains are painted with the desert colors I love.
While we were in sunshine all afternoon, we could see a storm system had settled over the east of us and we watched some spectacular lightning. All in all, a very worthwhile day trip.
I kept expecting to see the Marlboro Man ride up from across the desert mountains.
Yank, the details of your preparation brings to mind the ole cliche...."up to my eyeballs". ;*)
Great links, Molly! I especially liked the Sowell one, and the beautiful flower pics, and of course, Blankley, who always has such a brilliant historical perspective.
My mom is just now getting over the new=moan=yaa she came down with a few weeks ago.
It is quite serious to get that in the summe time.
Listen to what T and the DR say.
yaheamenow????
