20.719 seconds; and those blue meanies really start ta boogie after the 16 second mark. Makes me wanna keep at it to see just how fast they get.
Howya! I went up the street to meet a new neighbor whose daughters have been playing with mine today ... and she’s a smoker! Five minutes in her house, and now I can’t stand being in the same room with myself.
Thanks!
Ugh. I hate cigarette smoke too.
I know what you mean. Working in the Silicon Valley, there is a huge Asian population, and their attitude toward smoking, is about where attitudes in the U.S. were in the late 1960’s; many of the ones that smoke do it like a raging forest fire.
There are a few around my office — I swear they must smoke in their cars with the windows all rolled up tight — that you can smell them coming from ten feet away. If you go into the coffee room just as they’re leaving, you’d think you were being asphyxiated’ you just gag on the vapor trail they leave behind.
It may not take a shower, but you’ll definitely wnt to wash your hair, change your clothes, and get that smokey-smelling laundry right into the wash.
as i said, YETCH!
PLEASE, Lord, send me back to Rockport, where the sea breezes blow & it's seldom either HOT or COLD!

Hey, you’re welcome. How’s things? Ya must be keepin’ plenty busy; I haven’t seen your nic around here much, lately.
I like it.
ROFLMAO...
I have been busy 7 days a week. It will slow down in a month or so.
The smell has dissipated, but I’ll shower and wash my hair later even if I don’t run first. At least she wasn’t smoking while I was in the house!
Pleasant enough woman, and I don’t mind my daughter playing with hers, but I hope they’ll stay outdoors as much as possible!
Hug and kiss back, General. Are you working in D.C., or someplace worse?
LOLOL!

Not going to be around much tonight, it seems. Made the mistake of kicking off a massive general "system upgrade" before I left for work this morning. Came back to find it hung on installing Java Runtime Environment 5 (d'oh! I'd encountered that before and forgot), and aborting out left the O/S in a mode where it wouldn't boot into the GUI interface.
So for now I'm backing up user directories onto the house server, in preparation for a new install.
May reload Kubuntu Linux 6.10 ("Edgy Eft") tonight, and/or start the bittorrent download of Kubuntu 7.04 ("Feisty Fawn") for an install tomorrow. Either way, it's a few hours I was going to spend on something else.
At least I found a Xubuntu 7.04 LiveCD that let me get online... (before I finally located the Kubuntu 6.10 CD).
My joy at having my dSLR camera back working is diminished a bit... but not much because I was planning to upgrade anyway.
I know this is off topic(LOL in this thread), but are you a Canon person by any chance?
I have a digital rebel XT that I use for work with a variety of lenses...and I'm thinking of getting a Dslr for my personal use to replace my hybrid KM-Z6...and looking at maybe the 30d. Curious as to opinions.
LOL, the only things off-topic on the Undead Thread are matters topical in the rest of Free Republic. Though we do frown on flame-wars.
To your question: No, actually, you might consider me a Nikon guy, as that is where I made my first venture into "higher-end" cameras and circumstances have held me there. I have some gripes with Nikon, but I gather they're little different from what I'd have with other manufacturers.
My recent misadventure led me to purchase a high-end Canon digital (not dSLR) but the experience, though costly, was educational, and I am left with a lot of respect for Canon as a result. Given time, I might detail the pluses and minuses of each (from my perspective), but from a user-friendly perspective, Canon seems to have the edge. At least from my perspective knowing the Nikon (and not the Canon) short-comings.
But the Canon line, I don't know it at all. Sorry.
