I’m going to take a couple of CD books with me when I head for my class reunion. Going through the mountains without satellite radio is going to be WAY too quiet for me!

Books on CD for the car are wonderful. I don’t have a working portable CD player in the house, so I have to get cassette tapes for the treadmill time.

I have a Gazelle Edge, which is about $100 at Wal-Mart. I like it because it’s collapsible, and I can get as big or as small a workout as I want. And it only takes up about 6 sq. ft. of floor space when it’s open.

I don’t always feel well enough to exercise, but when I do, it’s worth it.

I could use more exercise, too! I’d rather go outside to run, but it’s not a nice day for it - 80’s and extremely humid.

I have two CD players, neither has Bass that works, and cassette/AM/FM radio that I can only use the radio with. So...

I may see what I can find before the trip. I have to be careful because the gas is going to be horrendous. I’ve budgeted $200 for that. *ARGH!*

You can get a portable CD player at Wal-mart for $10-15, and an adapter to plug it in to the car’s electrical system. (Try Radio Shack.)

The sound wouldn’t be that great, but it would be adequate.

It’s like that here all the time. I’d rather be outside than inside too. When I was a kid, you could not have paid me to stay in the house on days like this.

I don’t remember what we spent on gas for our trip down here from Cleveland, but that was back in 2000. when gas prices weren’t what they are now.

Several of my kids are out. The boys have been napping. Bill and James were just tired, but I think Pat’s got a virus. He was moping around this morning and felt rather warm. I gave him some Tylenol, and he went to bed.

There is no cigarette lighter in my ugly old truck. There is a hole with a plug in it. That’s all. :o[

Hopefully a good, long nap will fix him up. Pat gets sick more often than the rest of us, because he doesn’t eat enough.

Could be worse, the opening jingle for “The Get Along Gang” could be in my head.

Oh, man...why oh why oh why did I click on this thread?

Gas here is still around $3.19, so I’m not going to get any break at all (if any) until I get into Utah. I can’t believe what a rip off gas is.
