Our Dr. Wolfhope is a very sensible middle-aged lady. She likes tests for this and that, but doesn’t like to rush into diagnosis. We’ll she what she says, and if necessary, I’ll nag her for a neurologist referral just to reassure my mother.
Ah, here’s Vlad, looking quite sweaty, with a Lego airline pilot.

I’m sure glad they didn’t have such invasive diagnostics when I was a kid. They would have cured all my charming aberrations.

Do you think Einstein was a typical kid, making sand castles, and playing Cowboys and Indians?
Did Bill Gates go to soccer games or school dances?
Who knows?
My point is that the most amazing people can seem _______ to others.
Look at you, Bob.

Im sure glad they didnt have such invasive diagnostics when I was a kid. We've been fortunate that compulsory medication has never become widespread; it might have robbed us of Edison and Einstein. You've heard of cases where "the cure is worse than the disease"; there are also cases where the diagnosis is worse. Think of it as "guilty until proven innocent" transplanted into the world of medicine.

“Short Circuit” was the movie. The robot got struck by lightning and became “human.” Sorta. The gal was a person who gathered in all the stray animals and she was always worried about polluting the environment. It took place in Oregon.
It’s a cute movie. I just didn’t realize how “environmental” the cast was in it until I saw it again a few weeks ago.
