I use the final Sunday episode of C&H as wallpaper on company computers when on contract. "Leave 'em laughing when you go." Grand new adventure about to happen!
Ah! My daughter’s favorite!
Calvinist in your tag line for the religion or the cartoon?
Good way to sign off (with C&H)!
Bill the Cat!! A favorite!
Boy you guys are good.
I loved the snowmen!
I hate “The Brilliant Mind of Edison Lee”. A daily bash at President Bush and the right.
The (wh)Oregonian is pimping it
The religion, first and foremost.
I've heard it said somewhere (the Turkish language has a syllable you can insert into verbs to render them second-hand! the "narrative" tense, translated as "they say," or "I've heard" -- something you don't know from first-hand knowledge) that Watterton's favorite two philosophers are John Hobbes and John Calvin. His work definitely shows an awareness of human depravity!
I loved “Liberty Meadows”, but he started drawing comics books and I cant find them anywhere.
“ Get Fuzzy” is funny also....But Calvin and Hobbes kicked butt.
My current fave is Pickles.
While in Perth back during my Navy days, I ran across Footrot Flats in a bookstore and spent an entire morning sitting on the floor reading, laughing like a loon and generally having a merry old time. The bookstore owner knew I was an American sailor and just smiled indulgingly.
The strip was a total hoot. Don’t know if it is still being drawn.
Fun times!!!
I looked it up on Dogpile, Ronin.
It was a strip out of New Zealand published in 1986. There was also a feature length animated film released on DVD in 2005 called ‘A Dog’s Tale’.
The couple of strips that I saw? It was adorable!
