Thought I'd repeat the post from the last thread on ATRW:
Good Morning everyone.
Eldest daughter, Carolyn, is back from France safe and sound!
I went down to Madison to pick her up on Monday afternoon. Her bus was to get into the Union on the U.W. Campus at 7:00 pm. I took a book down the Lake Mendota, a stone's throw from Memorial Union, and read along the lake front. (gorgeous day with balmy temps and blue skies.) At 7:00 I decided to stroll over to the parking lot, as her bus was due in around 7:10. I glanced for the bus, not seeing it I was going to walk around a bit. I looked at this woman across the parking lot and nodded. As I started to walk away I heard, "Dad!!!"
My goodness... I didn't expect to see her, and found out the bus was a few minutes early, and had already left. She was looking very French, with her scarf and sunglasses.
We talked the entire 2 hour trip back home.
Great news about your daughter.
I am so glad you posted that about recognizing your daughter.
I thought I was the only one who did something like that. If I am gone from even my kids and they change anything about their features, I do not recognize them. I am so bad. And I have felt that I’m a lousy mother for it. But my kids should know better. They may not cut their hair, change the style, get a tan or lose/gain weight or ANYTHING when I am not around to see it. When will they ever learn!
Ahappy reunion! Thanks for sharing it, Jay.
Big smile coming from me on the report about your daughter. Good morning everybody.
Great news! !
