I have a question on how does an illegal alien leave the US?
I know a family whose 24 year old daughter is in the US on a visa status that has expired. The family is well to do, and are from overseas. None of them are American citizens or green card holders.
The daughter and her mother were living alone together in the US, until the mother tragically died last year. The father lives overseas. The mother was working as an H1 with the daughter as her dependant under H2. They were in legal status until her mother's death.
After the mother's death, the daughter just hunkered down in the home where they were staying. She's been sitting there for the past year now. The father visited the US to attend the mother's funeral, and tried to convince the daughter to come home, but she adamantly refused. He didn't know what to do, and he came home empty handed.
The daughter is now illegal. She was always weak emotionally, and she now seems to be in a full fledged nervous breakdown. The family cannot make contact with her, since she doesn't answer the phone or answer the door.
Her father has been sending money for her bills through a family friend who is nearby. The father is also paying the mortgage on the home where the daughter is staying alone.
Basically I wanted to know how her father can arrange to have his daughter brought home.
The main problem is how to have her get on a plane and fly home under a legal status.
The second problem is how to get her to agree to come home.
The father is afraid that the daughter will end up in a deportation camp and further mentally disturbed.
She needs to go back, regardless.
You and your church are harboring an illegal immigrant.
You misread my post, her HB-1 Visa is ABOUT to run out. She is seeking the competent advice from our lawyer, who is giving her competent advice and if she must leave, she will.
She will return home for the first time for over 20 years to no home, no job and no relatives who can care for her BUT she intends to follow the law to the letter, as she and her deceased husband have always taught their children to do.
Thanks for your response, though incorrect.... and have a nice day.
duh.
Is she pretty? I could marry her.
She also is the mother of 3 children, three boys and a girl; 20, 18 & 17.
As I said, she is from Liberia (the African country founded by return slaves)and a very strong religious woman who originally desired to become a nurse and missionary before marrying her husband.
Jointly, they planned to become missionaries and were working to finish their degrees, shen Esther became pregnant with her first child. He did finish his degree but I'm not sure about her.
