The Dragonflies' Lair ~ Thread XXXVII~May, June 2007
Soaring Feather/Poets of The Lair | May 7, 2007 | Soaring Feather

My Dragonfly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

It was a good poem for today because silver rain was what we had. It was pretty but a bit too chilly for this time of year.

How are you legs today? It’s not exactly the weather for joints.

Trouble is there’s a risk of sleeping too easily, even with the coffee IV.

How are you legs today?

They seem to be fine today, no swelling or aching thanks. I have the heat on because I can't stand to be chilly.

LOL, yes, but I do prefer the beans to be ground and brewed. ;)

Just make it expresso coffee with lots of sugar. That should wire you up for the day. LOL

My tongue matches my nose PERFECTLY! Pampa, a resident of the Metropolitan Zoo in Santiago, just wanted you to know. He's one of the last 240 white tigers in the world.

Lausanne found: Police set up a roadblock in Lausanne, Switzerland, to prevent a fugitive from a cattle transport from getting away. After leading Swiss authorities on a miles-long chase, the cow was eventually shot with a tranquilizer dart, restrained in a busy crossroad and scooped up by her farmer.
