[Soaring Feather]

My Dragonfly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

While you were in Thailand, have you gone in-country to see the bridge where they filmed “Bridge over the River Kwai”? I do not know how safe it is to travel in-counrty these days with all of the ethnic upheaval going on.

No, I never did the River Kwai gig, and you're also right on the turmoil factor going on in Thailand. I'll still visit the heart of Bangkok, but otherwise no one will catch me running around Thailand's outback these days!

Oh, I love this butterfly!
The photographer's comment:"Thick-tipped Greta (Greta morgane) female. A very special image here, it was a first US record of the species and first record in 100 years since any members of its family has been seen in the US. I found it and it made the cover (above the fold) of the local newspaper and again the cover (below the fold!)"

Gorgeous! I never knew of this butterfly until last year, someone sent me an email with several pictures. Amazingly gorgeous!

Neither did I until it was sighted in Texas..I had read an article I think in a Houston paper concerning the sighting before I was posting graphics. Of course that park is a long way south of me.
