I know you hate Bill Kristol but he has an interesting article at Weekly Standard regarding Tenet's Richard Pearle 'Iraq must pay' comment: Tenet claims he 'bumped into Perle outside the White House' on 9/12 -- Tenet kept repeating it was Sept. 12th. Turns out Perle was in France on 9/12 because of air travel restrictions resulting from 9/11!!!

Also in the 60 Minutes piece: NO mention of Armitage's outing of Plame; Tenet claims it was the White House and Cheney; No mention that Joe Wilson's Niger trip proved nothing...(don't know why I watched it)...I think at the very least Tenet should return the Medal of Freedom that Bush gave him...;-))

Hi Bit...Bennett was talking about this Tenet/Perle thing this a.m. with Byron York. They also discussed the differences between Tenet's account and Bob Woodward's...and based on Tenet's demeanor last night on 60 minutes...his self-dramatization, excitability, so forth, they thought Woodward's account was the more accurate. Woodward - accurate!! but it was a convincing statement Bennett and York made...

They also posed the idea that the MSM would lose interest in Tenet before too long...his anti-Bush usefulness has a short shelf life...
