Impeachment.
That's the threat that Murtha, now Chairman of the Defense Subcommittee of the House Appropriations Committee, says the House must use if the President doesn't accept their will for surrender in Iraq.
Of course, this is not surprising. Many of us expected the cries for such a move to occur sometime during the last two years of this Administration. The other party would love nothing more than to erase that blot on their history--the only elected President ever to have been impeached.
So, we need to get this straight.
Apprarantly, in Mr. Murtha's mind, it is all right to engage in oral sex in the Oval Office, be pleasured while discussing ongoing military operations with the United States Senate, commit perjury, solicit the American people en masse to be accomplices in the crime, mislead the Congress about a criminal act, engage the armed forces of the United States to deflect public scrutiny, threaten Members of Congress with exposure of their backgrounds unless they keep silent, allegedly rape women, all the while professing to do the work of the American people.
Apparently, however, it is not all right to be engaged in an enterprise to ensure the Third World War does not spill over into our own territory. In other words, Representative Murtha believes President Bush should be...
...Impeached for undertaking his Constitutional duty to protect the Consitution (which is "We the people") from all enemies, foreign and domestic.
Yet a new standard on the hypocracy meter. This one's going to be hard to beat.

My computer is back amongst the living after I hit the wrong button and locked it up early yesterday morning.
I have the laundry done, Mt Mail tamed and several flower beds weeded. I am ready to begin transplanting stuff. I continue to be amazed at how many things were frozen off and are refusing to return after the string of late spring freezes.

Hi Bit...Bennett was talking about this Tenet/Perle thing this a.m. with Byron York. They also discussed the differences between Tenet's account and Bob Woodward's...and based on Tenet's demeanor last night on 60 minutes...his self-dramatization, excitability, so forth, they thought Woodward's account was the more accurate. Woodward - accurate!! but it was a convincing statement Bennett and York made...
They also posed the idea that the MSM would lose interest in Tenet before too long...his anti-Bush usefulness has a short shelf life...

Daughter and I just watched a video from church last night, regarding apparitions of Mary during the 20th century. I had NO idea how many there were. I knew about Fatima, Medjugorje, Yugoslavia (I know a lady who witnessed miracle there), etc., but didn’t know about those in Belgium, Japan, Rwanda, Venezuela, Egypt and others which have been “certified” (or whatever they call it) and there are apparently several hundred which have not been so sanctioned. Visions, “weeping statues”, solar events, healings, physical miracles - scientists and non-believers also witness and testify. Photos and videos of some of those are quite revealing, and clear.
Common theme, each (and I believe every) time: “chastisement” may soon be visited upon the world. Repent, fast, and pray the Rosary.

D and SIL buying me a new lawnmower today, giving my old one to my other daughter it is self propelled, I use it for up close work, has a grass catcher, put the clipping in the compost pile.
