As we settle into the nighttime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!
Good morning everyone.
Dog is on vacation...
Raven is headed to Italy...
Carolinamom is firing up her Grass Hog...
And the Dems continue to undermine this great country. The confrontation between Capitol Hill and the White House over the Iraq War timetable seems imminent.
Air conditioner guy.
Hi Lysie, I am on my way out now also but just a quick hi.
How is the pond, fish all survive? I would think that is a great plae to go with a book & read or just meditate ..
Good it's nice to hear of young people doing well then enjoying the fruits of their labors.
When are you coming this way agian? Any time soon? I don’t get up your way much any more. Did I ever tell you the time Mr HOB and I flew into your city airport on USAIR and I was first in line to get off the plane when I realized the walkway wasn’t in position? That is a loooong way down.
Over here we don’t have the bug sprays and fertilizers available in the states. I have to make my own.
For a bug killer, I make a nicotine tea by heating a cup of water and then soaking tobacco from a cigarette in it. When that has steeped, I add it to a gallon of water and mix about 2 TBS dish soap in. Then I pour this over the leaves of my plants to get them wet.
It works! Nicotine is a poison and the dish soap makes the mixture stick to the leaves.
oh wow! I’d have to buy cigarettes to d o this or beg a couple from my fil. So it really works, right?
I agree with you, milord. That is a tough test. I scored 100% but only by sheer will in the last seconds of each screen. At the end it says, “Want to play again?” NO WAY!
Fish are fine and I heard a couple frogs last night singing in the rain.
IMO, although I can’t be sure, unless John is in some sort of special, secret service, NO, he wouldn’t have deployed quickly. Furthermore, he left the service a month or so ago. So, I don’t think that is the reason.
I think he’s very busy attending to the company and perhaps some personal business. No, I don’t think he’s married (although he could fool me). I take him at his word that he doesn’t want to try that again.
I agree.
STOP IT! STOP IT! STOP IT!
Y’ALL ARE MAKING ME SICK. LITERALLY!
I was going to wait a week to see if I get some results from the antibiotic, but I need prayer NOW.
AND I DON’T NEED MY FRIENDS FIGHTING AND TEARING THEMSELVES APART AND AWAY FROM EACH OTHER. MY FIGHT IS BIGGER THAN THESE ARGUMENTS.
The doctor’s visit yesterday was inconclusive. I could have something ranging from a minor bacterial infection to LEUKEMIA.
We don’t know at this point.
What I’m doing is taking an antibiotic for a week and then retesting my blood. If the white count comes down, leukemia is ruled out completely and there is not need for further testing.
If the count remains elevated, we still would not know. I return to the states for further testing including a bone marrow-whatever-that-very-painful-test-is-called to see what is going on.
I need prayers to:
Remain focused (”You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee.”)
Respond to the antibiotics and get those white blood cells down
Make flexible plans
NOW STOP THIS JUNK. I DON’T NEED IT.
It really works. And its funny, too. I walk into a store and the clerk knows that I would never smoke. And I ask for the cheapest brand without a filter, just tobacco. They are so confused.
And our friends, when they come over sometimes the see my pack of cigs on the microwave. They ask whose is it? When I reply ‘mine’ their jaw totally drops. Its a hoot!
Prayers up.
I’m going to get a bath. BBL
what else can I do for you?
Happy to hear you like your new job.
Call me "young lady" again. At age 52, I like hearing that! It gives me the illusion that I look younger than I am.
ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
prayers in a heavy duty major way
ok, but I just made myself feel ancient! LOL!!! @:)

Dahlin’, pray but don’t panic.
The odds are in my favor. I have had a sinus drip since before Christmas, so this is probably that. Even if it is leukemia, we have been alerted very early. AND, as everyone who listened to Rush on Friday knows, there is now an 87% cure rate for leukemia.
