Thank you for your prayers. That is what I need now. A dropping of the white cell count would be a definitive sign that it isn’t leukemia.
Otherwise, more tests are needed before a diagnosis.
DOG, read also that it could just as likely be an INFECTION. There is no need to panic at this point. In fact, I need calm and peace and positive thinking. I’ve delegated a lot of my work and will enjoy the sunshine. I love sunshine.
THE PLAYERS SKIPPED THE MEETING!!!! HAHAHAHAHA!
Cheney vs. Harry Reid [Kathryn Jean Lopez]Too bad Dick Cheney isn't running for President in 2008. I could wholeheartedly support him. Oh, I just found some comments about Harry Reid's reaction.
From earlier today:
Scroll down for picture of the Cheney famous sneer. Plus there is a link to listen to his comments. Here's the full text:
I usually avoid press comment when Im up here, but I felt so strongly about what Senator Reid said in the last couple of days, that I thought it was appropriate that I come out today and make a statement that I think needs to be made.
I thought his speech yesterday was unfortunate, that his comments were uninformed and misleading. Senator Reid has taken many positions on Iraq. He has threatened that if the President vetoes the current pending supplemental legislation, that he will send up Senator Russ Feingold's bill to de-fund Iraq operations altogether.
Yet only last November, Senator Reid said there would be no cutoff of funds for the military in Iraq. So in less than six months' time, Senator Reid has gone from pledging full funding for the military, then full funding but with conditions, and then a cutoff of funding three positions in five months on the most important foreign policy question facing the nation and our troops.
Yesterday, Senator Reid said the troop surge was against the recommendations of the Iraq Study Group. That is plainly false. The Iraq Study Group report was explicitly favorable toward a troop surge to secure Baghdad. Senator Reid said there should be a regional conference on Iraq. Apparently, he doesn't know that there is going to be one next week. Senator Reid said he doesn't have real substantive meetings with the President. Yet immediately following last week's meeting at the White House, he said, "It was a good exchange; everyone voiced their considered opinion about the war in Iraq."
What's most troubling about Senator Reid's comments yesterday is his defeatism. Indeed, last week, he said the war is already lost. And the timetable legislation that he is now pursuing would guarantee defeat.
Maybe it's a political calculation. Some Democratic leaders seem to believe that blind opposition to the new strategy in Iraq is good politics. Senator Reid himself has said that the war in Iraq will bring his party more seats in the next election. It is cynical to declare that the war is lost because you believe it gives you political advantage. Leaders should make decisions based on the security interests of our country, not on the interests of their political party.
Re Harry Reid [Cliff May]Pffft, the dim dems use names all the time, then say they won't engage in name calling.
Did you notice that after Harry Reid called Vice President Cheney "an attack dog," he added that he wasn't going to engage in "name calling"?
Good, I’ve made you laugh. I have done my job for today. :)
Reid [Jonah Goldberg]
I've long thought Reid was mostly an empty suit but not the sort of guy to get furious at. He's no ideologue, just a fixer-type. But when he says that he won't believe General Petraeus no matter what the General says, it's really pretty outrageous, particularly when Reid begins the interview by invoking Petraeus's judgment in his own defense. Apparently, he's pocketed all he needs from the General and so why bother listening any more. I'd rather he just put his hands over his ears and yelled "Nah-nah-nah-woop-woop-woop I'm not listening nah-nah-nah!" then listen to his soporific sophistry. Watch the clip here.
I just planted 5 rose bushes. Whew! I wanted to get them in the ground before we get rain later tonight. Only 3 more to go, and I will do those tomorrow. The ones I am planting tomorrow are the Bush roses...2 Barbara's and a Laura. Coral pink for Barbara, which are hybrid teas and will go in by the patio. Laura Bush is a tree rose which is rust in color and will go in a big pot.
I lost some plants including roses this year, so I am glad I ordered this stuff last winter (also I got a real deal on the price from Jackson Perkins).
The roses sound beautiful. Good luck, I’m sorry you lost your other roses to the weather.
You mentioned that the Coopster took his kids to a math night at school. Good for him. He is a good dad. Math is not my strong suit, so I’m afraid I would not have had fun at a math night in elementary school....
I've been holding us all in my pocket ... a bit crowded, it is ... which is O.K.
Miss Marple, your recent comments remind me of a neighbor I once had and grew to love. She hummed when she was fit to be tied .... an odd phrase, that ... she hummed pretty tunes.
"Linda, how's your son doing?!"
"NIIIIIIGHTS are LOOOOONG since YOOOOOU'VE been gone..."
"Well, my son smacked his girlfriend's car into a gas pump, last night at Leanard's Fill-Up. Her Dad didn't know the car was gone until the police showed up.He's upstairs recaulking the tub, after that, he'll be scrubbing the laundry floor. He's good! These Lilies, I like them. They'll fit in fine here. You?"

Pelosi will not meet with Petraeus...its just breaking on the news side...these people are loons.
Al Simmons.
And the unraveling continues.
And Dick Cheney will be in Provo on Thurday to speak at the BYU commencement. I think I am going to go. I would love to hear him speak in person.
The ‘opposition’ got Ralph Nader to come and speak at their ‘alternative’ commencement. They’re hoping for 2000+ attendees, but just in case, they’re busing professional protestors down from Salt Lake City. No venue in Provo would rent an auditorium to them, so they rented the events center at UVSC, the local state college. It will cost them 20,000 dollars. They didn’t have the money yesterday, but KOS posted it on his website and the donations put them over the top. Sigh.
Harry Reid (ick) and some other Democrat, whose name I forget, will also be coming to speak at BYU in the future. Do you think the Republicans will protest Reid’s talk at BYU? NO!!!! We have manners and realize that everyone deserves a chance to be heard. /rant
See you tomorrow.
Night Doggie. Sounds like the Utah Jazz. Each game a different way to lose. Have a great vacation. :)
These are the things we do out of love...
I balance it out with travel soccer and drum lessons, which are great fun.
You’re a great dad. Your love for your children shines through.
Prayers and love, dear one.
The antibiotics WILL work!
Ooof... I had systemic poison ivy once, and had to do all sorts of stuff like socks on the hands to keep from itching, as well as cortizone or something like that in an attempt to control... Took over two months to finally get rid of it. It affected about 60% of my skin area - Yikes!
(I deserved it... by the way... I had just about rolled in it and dared the nasty stuff to get me... LOL ... it had the last laugh!)
Plus when Katie tries to look serious, she looks constipated.

Can you tell me where you got this, MM? I might be interested in locating one of these for myself!

LOL... this reminds me of my dad. He used to whistle nice little ditties when he was really getting peeved at us kids. Seldom did it take more signal than that for us to straighten up...
