Well, we could discuss how long bit of food has to rest on the floor (after falling from your plate) before you would refuse to eat it.

Well—as of 15 minutes ago, NO ONE had a thread. (And I DID check!!)
So, at least I tried.
I see I messed up again.
Shoot me

No, dude...
This is a historic First—and a challenge to us. Can we keep two threads going at the same time? Is there enough of a following?
There was the proposed split—hey, this could be a trial run...
I don’t see why we can’t keep both running...

Nah, you’re good to go. I was wondering why I hadn’t received my Friday nite invite! lol

That's a pretty good idea for a topic.
For me, I don't think that gas prices will have a big effect on my travel plans. My little Saturn gets nearly 40 mpg on the highway, and the only big trip that I usually take in the summer is going home to see my folks. The price of gas could make the trip a little more expensive, but I make a good living and live carefully. I can afford to pay a little more for that trip.
A more interesting question for me will be whether I'm up to kayaking this summer. The truck that I use to carry the kayak doesn't get good mileage, but I just didn't have much energy or incentive to try kayaking last summer. If I'm still lacking energy this summer, then the price of gas will be irrelevant. If I feel more like doing things, I might end up doing more trips that are closer to home than I would if gas were cheap.

I’m a poor nursing student ... but can afford the gas. I would have to sleep on the ground where ever I landed though! *ha*

Around here, I would NOT want to eat much of anything that fell on the floor. My cat Tiki)whom I have shown here before), is BIG, and nosy, and so—there is a VERY good chance that wherever food drops—has has been there recently, or will come there. Not too mention—he vomits a lot, and I do NOT want any of “that “ in my food!!

I am more of a “three second rule” person. If the surface is rather clean, then I may push it to five seconds.
