Thread Number 3
LOL
Frankly, it’s a wonder Beth and Jug lasted as long as they did after Natalee’s disappearance. She is so (understandably) driven that other relationships must have suffered.
JR doesn’t affect me one way or the other except that I don’t find him attractive. He and Beth could have a bond in their losses, though.
“I know, I tend to psychoanalyze these things.”
Apparently, I do too. ;) Read this after I posted to Rte66.
Actually ... things are never quite as “nicey-nice” as they seem, are they?
OK, there’s nothing wrong with someone getting paid for their speeches. There, let me get that out of the way.
And there’s nothing wrong with someone who is a *motivational speaker* having an agent to do their bookings for them.
And there’s nothing wrong with a passionate mom trying to raise money to continue the fight for finding her daughter in a foreign country.
To me, there *is* something wrong with a *motivational speaker* taking money for using his daughter’s murder as a way to promote himself in whatever his next endeavor might be, when he never did one single thing towards implementing a foundation he *said* he would establish and run, with money he solicited from the public and he told the public would be earmarked from sales of his and his wife’s book about their daughter’s murder.
*And hence,* there’s nothing inherently wrong about one of these *motivational speakers* hooking up with another one of these *motivational speakers* by meeting at their same speaker’s bureau agent’s office.
It may get sticky, tho, when Beth starts screaming for justice against “an innocent until proven guilty” suspect and JR starts getting defensive at the podium and decks her!
I’m trying to be nice.
I believe it.
I’m sorry you have been attacked for stating your opinion. Glad you stuck it out. As for me, I made the comment that Virgie was not exactly “mother of the year”. It wasn’t a popular opinion, but instead of sparking debate, certain people just attacked. One day I decided it just wasn’t worth the argument.
I still lurk, as there is great info to be gleaned on this thread.
Can’t you tell by my inflection?
a lot of people quit for the same reason...
probably next week...
Heh heh, California, too. Well, except that would’ve been “JimRob,” not JR.
See, I said “JR” kinda snidely. (Cue up the Snidely Whiplash entrance music for HKS, please!) If I had said it reverentially, you’d have known that I meant Ewing.
I liked Jug, but Natalie wasn't his child and rightly, Beth was consumed with Aruba and finding out what happened to her child. I think at some point Jug wanted a wife and Beth to put this behind her. She will never put it behind her.
Oh, and they are both Southerners... he in GA and Beth in AL... and both have one surviving son.
Oh, I could see Beth and Patsy being alike - and either one could eat JR for lunch.
I intensely dislike him. Intensely. And we have him to thank for Leroy helping HKS, ya know, among other things - but that’s minor.
tock, tock, tock
I didn't know about the motivational thing either until today when I watched Inside Edition to get my Birkhead/Dannilynn fix.
You lost me on LeRoy??? and HKS ?????
I really don’t know. I thought his mother was with him at one point and his sister but not sure.
Great article! I’m so happpy that Larry and Dannielynn are finally getting to experience some normalcy in their lives, and it’s great that they are surrounded by such a loving family!
