Each one of us has his/her own idea of exactly what went down with Anna’s and Daniel’s death, our own ideas of what their relationship really was like, and who’s done what to whom. Most of us, including me, do share some of the same thoughts about this or that. There’s just no way to know the truth of it all until the fat lady sings, if she ever does, but whatever differences we each may have make more a more lively and interesting debate, and I try to treat all theories with respect. I said way, way back, that if it’s found Howard is a murderer/psychopath/sociopath, I’ll eat my hat and eat crow, and I will ;)
Well, as much as I hate to admit being wrong, I was wrong about Virgie. And I hate that. I wanted her to be so much more.

So isn’t this something that KE should have known? I mean, shouldn’t KE have tried to get ANS into the hospital, or at least turn her treatment over to another doctor instead of leaving her to stay with people she knew were not competent to manage this? It’s pretty clear ANS knew she was in a bad way. She was crying and begging to KE to not leave for Pete’s sake. Wasn’t that some kind of mistake on KE’s part?

Luvly, that is such a good question! What is the protocol for safely detoxing from methadone? If I have time, I’ll research this.
Chloral hydrate may not have been dangerous for Anna per se. What killed her is not the fact that she was taking chloral hydrate, but the fact that she took toxic amounts (according to the toxicologist on Perper’s report). The prescribing physician can claim she prescribed in proper doses. She can skate on this. She and Howard will simply claim that Anna drank too much of it...since that is exactly what did kill her.
Also, I want to know why so many different anti-anxiety drugs? Was it to help the detox process? And why was Methadone discontinued when she came to the States? Lots of good questions that we will never know the answers to unless Virgie brings civil charges against HKS and KE.
This next week will be telling regarding Virgie’s motives and whether she has the desire to seek the answers we are looking for.
Let’s face it, that whole family was dysfunctional. I do give Virgie credit for her law enforcement career, and I still hope she backs off. I can see Larry not wanting to give her guaranteed visitation rights up front, as he wants and needs to maintain control as DL’s father and he obviously is NOT sure about Virgie’s motives. I saw this coming from almost day one of the FL hearings, if not before. I tried my hardest to give her the benefit of the doubt, though. I like what Larry said in an interview in a previous post- that he’s tired of war and something like “can’t we all move on?” WE’RE tired of it, so can you imagine how they all feel?
Can you look at someone and tell if they are a sociopath or a psychopath? There's something about HKS that gives me a case of the "heebie jeebies". To me, his eyes are cold and dead-looking. I've looked at several of his pictures and the expression in his eyes never changes. I studied the one of him and Daniel sitting and talking with their caps on, and HKS' eyes are expressionless...he is smiling, but his eyes aren't.
Maybe I'm becoming paranoid from reading so much about this saga!
One thought I had was that perhaps all the different anti-anxiety drugs was to try to prevent a particular dependence or tolerance to just one, in hopes of weaning Anna gradually. But, they’re in the same class of drugs, so that didn’t make sense unless there are some differences in actions between those similar drugs. I don’t recall if there were different dosages of each drug, either. For instance, a higher dosage of Ativan and a lower dosage of Klonopin( or whichever the benzos were. I still don’t know if it makes any sense, and it sure wouldn’t be done in a rehab hospital setting that way.
The chloral hydrate was tried and true for so many years before the newer sleep aids came out. I can see where Ambien and the other newer ones wouldn’t work well for her for long, and it was stated that she did try them.
I think we all did.
I see ANS as damaged goods. Damaged from childhood. I’m not certain even a “good” shrink could have saved her from herself destruction... and self-descturctive people surround themselve with enablers.

Howard has no control over that baby the day Larry and the baby wing West out of the Bahamas. Virgie must not be all that concerned since she is insisting that baby stay in the Bahamas until at least June (and probably longer).
Virgie is mad because larry won't give her control over 1/2 of the babies money -- which right now the only certain money that child has is $1.7 million Larry had OK Magazine deposit into a trustfund in Dannielynn's name.
I will make you a bet: when all the cards are on the table we are going to find out Virgie's lawyers in Bahamas and Texas are counting on her getting 50% control in order to pay their expenses. If I am wrong, I'll eat crow, but the only reason Dannielynn and Larry are in Nassau is Virgie. Virgie, herself admitted it to MSNBC.
Yes. If I were thinking of my license, I would never, not in one million years, have left Anna without medical supervision. I would have been scared s###less. I would be documenting every action I took in my medical records. I would be telephoning the physician I left her in charge of everyday, not phoning Howard. The licensing board in California will revoke her license for this fact alone. But, I can hardly imagine the state of mind of a physician who behaves the way KE did. Unless it was truly a premeditated action.
And we haven’t heard her lawyers insisting social services remove DL from Horizons lately.
Liz, I suspect Larry is ticked at her, now. She may blame HKS for this, but perhaps she should blame herself for causing yet another delay. Just a thought... and not defense of HKS.....
Good point. Maybe because she was hoping to take Ben Thompson up on his offer to allow her to move into Horizons if she got custody of the baby. Can you imagine? She lives in a small house in Texas and could move into this mansion, free with the baby and control 1/2 of the babies 1.7 million???

IMO this is what it comes down to. What kind of doctor makes sure she has both her degrees noted on TV., abandons her practice to babysit a crazy situation like this one, loaded with liabilities and announces both of her degrees for the camera interview after her friend/patient dies, and tells the camera that she’s “sure” she could have saved her friend/patient if she had stayed? A whacked one or one who is trying to get rid of her license. Maybe it’s just not working out for KE and she wants out.

So she has seen first hand the “benefits of being injured.” she’would be very familiar with how a doctor might have to retire rather than lose their license.

I agree with you about these two men having secrets. Personally, it never occurred to me that Larry is a gay man until I saw the cover of OK posted here. That face and those bangs! Just too sweet, lol. Gay/bi men are often attracted to highly feminine women.
I’m hoping he does a 180 when he gets the baby out of Howard’s grasp next week. And that all his talk of poor Howard is a strategy. Debra Opri said very clearly last week, “I’m very proud of Larry. He has done everything his lawyers told him to do.”
