So isn’t this something that KE should have known? I mean, shouldn’t KE have tried to get ANS into the hospital, or at least turn her treatment over to another doctor instead of leaving her to stay with people she knew were not competent to manage this? It’s pretty clear ANS knew she was in a bad way. She was crying and begging to KE to not leave for Pete’s sake. Wasn’t that some kind of mistake on KE’s part?
Yes. If I were thinking of my license, I would never, not in one million years, have left Anna without medical supervision. I would have been scared s###less. I would be documenting every action I took in my medical records. I would be telephoning the physician I left her in charge of everyday, not phoning Howard. The licensing board in California will revoke her license for this fact alone. But, I can hardly imagine the state of mind of a physician who behaves the way KE did. Unless it was truly a premeditated action.
And, wouldn’t KE have had many other options besides Chloral Hydrate? So why did she specifically choose CH, it is rarely prescribed isn’t it? Is it possible she chose that particular drug because it is so hard to detect and no one would be looking to find it in her system?
