Thread Number 3
I don’t have source, but I read somewhere that Larry originally went to court in order to be established as Dannielynn’s father only ... guardianship came into the picture later.
******************************
Well of course!!! When he first went to court, Anna was alive!!
And she jumped in the water 20 days after having a C-Section?? What was she on THAT day???

Anna Nicole Smith's precious baby girl -- as only ET can show you! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Today, ANNA NICOLE SMITH's baby girl, DANNIELYNN HOPE, is just over seven months old and under the constant care of her nanny, MRS. GIBSON, who's been watching her since her mother's passing a little over two months ago.
With her bright blue eyes, Anna's little girl looks more like her mother every day! Despite the chaos that has surrounded her, she's a happy and healthy baby.
Of course, ET has been there from the very beginning. At barely two months old, wearing a pink lace dress and white headband, the world got its first look at Dannielynn and fell in love with the absolutely adorable infant.
One month later, ET visited Dannielynn again. We watched as Anna lovingly dressed and fed her, while her partner, HOWARD K. STERN, enjoyed playing the role of doting daddy.
At the time, Anna gave us a tour of Dannielynn's pink nursery -- decorated with the now stolen paintings she had created herself.
By the end of January and almost 4 months old, Anna was already predicting her little girl would be a future star.
"See how long she's gotten, she's going to be like a model," Anna added. "Her eyebrows are so defined like mine ... and her lashes are so long."
This would be the last time the world would get to see Anna and her precious baby girl together. Just days later, she was found dead in her Florida hotel room.
We were with Howard as he flew from Florida back to the Bahamas to be reunited with the little girl he believed was his. And ET was there after Anna and Howard's Bahamian home was ransacked, and we were with Howard as he moved Dannielynn to a top secret safe-house, where she has been throughout all of the DNA paternity hearings.
Now, what does the future hold for little Danielynn? Perhaps the answer lies in her middle name: Hope.
"I hope that she will be able to settle in the proper house," her caregiver, Mrs. Gibson, told ET. "I hope that she would just have a happy life."
For now, Dannielynn will stay in the Bahamas as her biological father, LARRY BIRKHEAD, and maternal grandmother, VIRGIE ARTHUR, are currently involved in a legal battle over custody of the little girl.
I have some doubts that is Anna in the dedication ceremony. Seems one poster - one who did an interesting analysis but I forgot who, there being so many - noted a weight gain in Anna’s arms. Whatever, something is odd about that video.
Smith Custody Battle Continued by Judge
5 October 2006 (WENN)
Celebrity photojournalist Larry Birkhead and his lawyer were back in court on Wednesday morning, where a judge refused to grant an immediate order for Anna Nicole Smith and her daughter to return to the US. Birkhead claims to be the father of Smith's baby Dannilynn and his lawyer Debra Opri challenged Smith to settle the custody dispute by submitting to a paternity test. The pair appeared in Los Angeles Superior Court where the judge continued the hearing until October 26. According to entertainment website Tmz.com, Opri is also requesting that the judge order Smith to submit to a drug test. At a press conference after the hearing, Opri addressed Smith directly saying, "Anna, I am talking to you directly now and I want you to listen to me and I want you to hear what I have to tell you. If you are so certain that Larry Birkhead is not the father, then you have nothing, absolutely nothing to lose by submitting to this jurisdiction and allowing a paternity test." Smith's partner and lawyer, Howard K. Stern alleges that he is actually the baby's father.
Isn’t she so beautiful? Thanks!
Parenting advice for Dannielynn’s daddy

Associated Press
He pumped his fists high, his face etched with a grin that stretched from Hollywood to the Bahamas. Larry Birkhead, the sandy-haired photographer and one-time boyfriend of the late Anna Nicole Smith, was finally vindicated by a paternity test as the biological father of Smith’s infant daughter, Dannielynn.
The Kentucky native says he’s more than ready to take custody of her as soon as he can.
“She’s got lots of toys and a nursery ready for her, and she’s got everything she’s going to need,” Birkhead told NBC’s Meredith Viera. “All I have to do is just give her the love.”
Is love really all Dannielynn needs? As evidenced by the infant’s catalog of would-be daddies, her late mother hardly suffered for lack of amorous attention — and the world knows too well how that fairy tale expired.
Parenting experts have some advice:
Move to Vermont
Birkhead’s number one priority should be shielding Dannielynn from the limelight, according to Sally Lee, editor of Parents Magazine.
“She’s had enough press to last a lifetime, and the spotlight really didn’t do her mom any good,” Lee says.
The pair should vacate the whirlwind of Hollywood life for greener pastures, where fame and money are less important, says psychologist Sharon Lamb, co-author of the forthcoming “Packaging Girlhood.”
Birkhead might emulate celebrities like Reese Witherspoon and Jodie Foster, who have successfully navigated the murky waters of parenting and stardom.
US Weekly Deputy Editor Caroline Schaefer points to Anna Nicole’s deceased son, Daniel, who was teased by other kids for appearing on his mother’s reality television show. Daniel, 20, died of a drug overdose Sept. 10.
“Celebrity parents should let their kids be kids,” Schaefer says. “Let them enter showbiz when they’ve actually grown up and can make a rational decision.”
Mend family ties
With her mother’s dark past found all over the Internet and re-enacted on cable television, Dannielynn must learn who the “real” Anna Nicole was — beyond the breathy-voiced Playmate.
“She needs to get a sense of her roots,” Lee says. “Dannielynn needs to know how much her mother loved her, and have happy memories of her.”
Reuniting with Anna’s family could provide some positive female role models, which are crucial to the child’s upbringing.
“(Dannielynn) shouldn’t feel that the only way she can have her mother is by imitating her mother,” Lamb says.
A strong father figure also is instrumental to cultivating a little girl’s self-image, says David George, author of “Good Dad/Bad Dad: Do’s and Don’ts from the Trenches,” which came out in March.
“He is going to be the first important man in her life,” George says. “His actions and behavior will have a profound impact on her.”
Try therapy
Some might say therapy is too soon for a 7-month-old, but it may well be necessary as Dannielynn matures and learns about her troubled family history.
“This family has a lot of addiction issues,” Lee says. “(Birkhead) needs to be vigilant about that. The more open he is about it, the better.”
Experts agree that Birkhead’s zealous pursuit of his daughter — who stands to inherit millions — may be Dannielynn’s greatest asset, should his intentions prove to be noble.
“As she grows up, if she has a sense that this man fought long and hard to win custody of her, that will be a positive message for her,” Lee says.

Anna Nicole Smith Lawsuit Alleges Drug Abuse
4 October 2006 (WENN)
The photojournalist claiming to be the father of Anna Nicole Smith's baby daughter alleges in court documents that Smith was taking methadone and is hiding out in the Bahamas to keep her baby from being tested for drugs. Larry Birkhead filed court papers in Los Angeles on Monday, attempting to establish paternity and obtain legal custody of the child. Birkhead began legal proceedings after learning that Smith's close friend and attorney Howard K. Stern, who she wed in a commitment ceremony last Thursday, is also claiming to be the father. The lawsuit alleges Smith was taking methadone, which is normally used to treat heroin addiction, and that Stern has been facilitating her habit. Birkhead also claims Smith is hiding out in the Bahamas to keep her baby from being tested for drugs. He says Stern is claiming to be the baby's father for his own financial gain and that Smith had asked a third unidentified man to say that he was the father of her child - a plan which he says didn't work out because the man had already had a vasectomy. Birkhead requested in his petition that Smith and her daughter undergo drug testing. According to Birkhead's attorney, Debra Opri, "The public will be very surprised when they learn of the details of the lifestyle this baby is going to be faced with if she remains in the current situation." Smith's 20-year-old son Daniel Smith died of a heart attack on September 10 caused by a lethal combination of antidepressants and methadone, three days after Smith gave birth to her daughter.
She is a cutie! I hope she’s really as healthy as she looks.
Hello All,
Just got off the phone with the Berkeley Football office and there is NO RECORD of a Howard K. Stern ever playing football as a Golden Bear between the years of 1996 -2000.
Maybe Ron Rale will give us more information on HKS’s football days in one of his upcoming interviews...
LOL! Did you say you wanted to inquire about his football injuries that require the use of all those drugs prescribed to him?
Yes, Dannielynn is precious!
Well gee whiz, he’ll just say that is was those Sunday afternoon football games wth the guys won’t he? Or did he specifically say that Stern played for the college team?
If all we have heard about HKS is true, there must be a special place for him in hell. When he appeared before Judge Seidlin, we heard him tell outright lies, so we have reason to doubt anything he says...he's proved more than once that he can't be trusted. I hope LB is smart enough to avoid being trapped by HKS' manipulations.

Thanks for the ping.
I cannot imagine HKS playing football. "Stern" and "football" did have many hits, but in the few I looked at these two terms were used in unrelated topics. In some high schools anyone can join the freshman team. He might have been the water-boy.
Or Stern could have thrown the football with his father or somebody else. It all depends on the definition of "played."
It’s hard to imagine just one person could do all this damage, isn’t it? Just horrible.
“”””One month later, ET visited Dannielynn again. We watched as Anna lovingly dressed and fed her, while her partner, HOWARD K. STERN, enjoyed playing the role of doting daddy.”””
ET - how dumb are these people?? Playing the role - yeah like ET plays the role of a legitimate media outlet.
Contemptible bastits!
