I’m beginning to understand it; Virgie doesn’t want HK$ to have any possibility of custody of her granddaughter if Larry dies before her.
Based on her two recent horrific experiences and HK$’ manipulations in court, you really cannot blame her.
David Rudolph was supposed to be one of the best defense lawyers and i think they brought him down from NY. He had such an arrogant condescending tone and scheisteristic quality that was such a turn off. I can't understand how someone like him or Geragos could ever be expected to win a jury over.
Haven't heard a peep about it.
Someone here, not you, was chastising Opri for not initiating legal maneuvers in the Bahamas. I found this last night from Bahamas, October 26, 2006. It includes the Opri media statement directed at ANS.

I don't think you're a bad person, and I'm sure others don't either. I don't want Virgie to get the baby, and I don't know why or what she's intending to do. One report says she wants money, another - guardianship, another says she wants custody, and yet Fox News says she just wants guaranteed visitation...so, who knows what she really wants?!! We're all entitled to our opinions, and I think we can learn from one another. Your opinions are just as valid as mine and others, so don't leave...just accept that we don't all see things the same way, and who knows - you may change someone's opinion to agree with yours. My husband says I am always right, and even I've looked at some things a little differently after reading other opinions! :-)
My daughter’s first comments on this case were violently anti-Virgie. I stopped her cold - by reminding her how hateful she is ‘without drugs’ and asked her what formed her opinion.
Answer: media reports.
She is still pro-Larry, but has a better grasp of Virgie’s guilt, grief and fear.
Ahem...(cough)....Do you suppose we'll be seeing the partying pictures taken by this private "detective"? Or will they be held for blackmail purposes?

IF that is her motivation, I understand it. As an observation, barring foul play, she appears to be a better candidate for departure.
I realized that a turnover of DL would not occur Friday, but reports indicated Virgie and LB were working out their arrangement Thursday for Friday’s hearing and that temporary custody would be assigned (with a ‘transition period’).
I’ve read nothing that indicated LB would deprive VA of a grandmotherly role. Delay just extends the danger to DL and provides more cover for HKS. It is BAD.
That's similar to what i was thinking yesterday only my idea was that she wants some assurance that Dannielynn will have contact with Anna's family even after she (Virgie) dies.
It must be unbearable to have your whole life and family members on display to the carnivorous media...digging like rats to uncover every error in judgement....
As far as I can see, Virgie has overcome her own and others’ transgressions...and has nothing to apologize for.
She has every right to protect her interests as the grandmother of Dannielynn....even to guardianship of any assets.
As many have pointed out - Larry is young and healthy and should be the custodial parent.
Anna had custody, she was young. Anna is dead.

maybe we should factor in, that the boat, apparently, was bought so that Gibson (King Eric) could own it (rumor has it, it’s at Gibson’s dock, not either Anna house) - I’ve heard a reference the other day, that the boat was Gibson’s to begin with, but we know that’s incorrect, because it was an ‘american’ seller, with Stern on the phone to the broker when he supposedly got the call from Moe. If it was Gibsons to begin with, we have no need for trips to florida or boat brokers. so...... What would ‘cracker’ mean to King Eric?
He walked to the mike on one day and said: "disappointed".
He went the second time and said: "If it was up to me...." In other words, he was disappointed AGAIN but his real message was: "Attack Virgie!" Back to ILLUSIONS.
I think Virgie and Larry sitting down was a sign that Howard wasn't the "great negotiator" or "Cracker" if you will.
I also think there's a possibility that there's an old will...prior to the appearance of Howard and it names Virgie as the guardian and executor. He has to make sure they don't look at a prior will...because it may be a consideration if this 2001 will is thrown out. Howard has to kill off Virgie...legally.
Maybe the boat was to be payment for working on the fixup house? Sounds about right....no cash stash shows.
