That is one of the few things that I could make some sense out of.
Obviously LE was incompetent and not treating this as any scene let alone a crime scene! Hicks or wanna cover, either way they blew it. With that in mind..

Moe knew her there is no denying that he could be beleived as her very good freind. Even more impressive was this man who tried so hard, this paramedic license savior.
Cops bought it and never looked back or further.

Police are there. EMT’s are there. She was dead. They may SHOULD have at least wanted to ask hks a FEW questions.

Someone needed to go. A dead body shouldn’t show up alone. Another logical move when you are acting like someone died of a week long illness and they see chit and vomit.

I can see them letting Moe accompany the body, this wonderful friend and paramedic.
Taz had her car there we know from breakfast. If my good friend died for any reason, I would certainly feel fine telling my mate, who didn’t know them, to just take the car and go. Or maybe the dumbSquad actually requested she stay and give a statement. Both understandable. In reverse, if I was the mate, I would be fine with saying just go with her. I will drive home call me when you can.

That is the easy part.

The rest you mention.. pfft. There it is, the murder.

Moe claimed he called to check on anna. Same anna that Perper said was improving but Moe was so worried he didn’t trust his nurse wife to watch without calling and checking on within 25 minutes or less of leaving.

Then we get into why was she alone at all? Meaning with this stranger? Why did HKS, by her side in time of need for every little pill for 12 yrs without fail, suddenly left her laying there! Sick!

What I really want to know is why Greta has shut her mouth about part II of the Taz interview that was supposed to be aired “in the coming days”....she is leaving us all hanging and not commenting on why the story is not being run
********************

It makes me wonder if it isn’t for legal reasons.

One can hope, right?

http://www.myfoxhouston.com/myfox/pages/News/Detail?contentId=3824831&version=1&locale=EN-US&layoutCode=TSTY&pageId=3.5.1

HOUSTON — Prominent trial lawyer John O’Quinn has been ordered to pay at least $35.7 million to more than 3,000 former clients for improperly deducting expenses from settlements he won for them.

With interest and attorneys’ fees, O’Quinn might have pay as much as $60 million.

“Quite simply, if O’Quinn is allowed to improperly withhold client funds with impunity, other lawyers may believe that they can do likewise. Such a result would destroy the very integrity of the special and unique relationship that exists between attorney and client,” according to a final order released Thursday by a three-person panel that decided the case.

The decision against O’Quinn was the result of a class-action lawsuit filed in 1999 by three ex-clients in East Texas who claimed his law firm overcharged them for expenses when they settled lawsuits alleging their breast implants were defective. More than 3,000 other former clients later joined the lawsuit.

In March, a majority of the arbitration panel had decided the deduction of a total of $18.9 million from the plaintiffs’ settlements was improper. The decision also said the 1.5 percent of general expenses collected by O’Quinn from the women were not authorized by his client contracts.

Joe Jamail, lead lawyer for the suing women, called the decision “a victory for the bar.”

“It stands for the proposition that a lawyer has to obey the rules regarding his client,” Jamail said in a story in Thursday’s online edition of the Houston Chronicle, adding that a lawyer’s most important duty is to clients.

O’Quinn’s lawyer Billy Shepherd said he and his client while respecting the panel’s decision, disagree with it and plan to appeal.

O’Quinn’s contract with the women required arbitration for disputes and usually arbitrations have been held to be binding in such situations. The case was originally filed in Rusk County.

“John O’Quinn got extraordinary results and with low expenses,” Shepherd told the newspaper.

The arbitration panel’s order says that O’Quinn, through three legal entities under which he has practiced law, must pay back $10.7 million he improperly charged clients and a $25 million penalty for breaking his contract with them.

The interest in the case since it began eight years ago could be more than $21 million. O’Quinn will also be asked to pay about $2 million of his ex-clients’ legal fees.

Shepherd disagrees with the plaintiff’s estimate that interest could be as high as $21 million and said he doesn’t think his client is personally liable.

This decision against O’Quinn is far less than the lawyer’s total fees for all these clients, which was estimated in the lawsuit to be around $580 million but which the arbitration panel said was about $263.4 million.

O’Quinn has been at the forefront of national litigation like the breast implant cases and was one of the lead lawyers in the state of Texas’ massive settlement from the tobacco industry. But he has also been prosecuted by the State Bar of Texas for how he obtained cases and found in contempt midtrial for sleeping in a jury room.

More recently, O’Quinn was sued in April for slander by Howard K. Stern, the former attorney and companion of Anna Nicole Smith. The lawsuit alleges that O’Quinn suggested Stern was involved in Smith’s February death. O’Quinn is representing Smith’s mother, Virgie Arthur, in a custody battle over Smith’s baby.

I surely hope that this investigation can continue. I also hope that another autopsy or a re-investigation of Daniels body/death can be done by someone in the US. If there was a cover up, why in the world would Perper risk his reputation and do it? Did he himself not do the invetigation and relied on “underlings” and then just report what they said to cover his butt?

Why does anyone go bad gopheraj?

I think most crooks always believe they won’t get caught.
Why do the President’s of the US take the risk of disgrace?
Look at Wecht! Why risk a rep but his greed has him under 84 Federal indictments!

If you look at corruption, there is no rep that is beyond the the long arm of Satan, especially for greed and fame. I never ask why, history tells me I must accept it happens, often.

It looks like the "implant" case involves an investigation both of the expenses O'Quinn charged and holding funds in his account...similar to Opri/Larry suit not Stern/O'Quinn.

Really have no idea what the court and/or Howard will do with regard to the Stern/O'Quinn suit....but at least we have another target date and Howard will be kept scrambling.

We still are in the dark regarding the custody bit in the Bahamas. Haven't the slightest idea what the end game in that is supposed to be. Maybe?? Larry is the natural father with all rights with Howard as next in line?? Just don't know what Howard and Larry have in mind.

They have to track down the methadone in Danny's body. I'm almost certain that in the end, Howard will blame Anna and that Anna's police statement which is probably a video says: Howard was wonderful during all this and I know that he never would have done anything to harm Daniel.

In the meantime, it might be just one little thing in her police statement that gives Howard away.

If Howard is shown as being present with Anna for that statement, it can be looked at as "intimidation". She didn't have an inkling that she was next but she might have been frightened by him if he told her it might have been her meth and she could go to jail for murder. They really played with her mind...royally.

Oh dear, not another day where my brain stayed in bed. I got it now that you spell it out for me.

Yes, I think JQ’s is a bit different. It appears he held addtional funds somehow. Opri’s will be problematic I think because she held media funds .. not the same as the other contracts and I don’t believe covered under them. +

I know, but you would think they would want to do the right thing especially in a higher profile case like this - but what the heck do I know. LOLL

I can see how Larry would put them in Opri's account.

"No, I've never received any money from the media for that interview/photo-op" sounds about right if he were asked.

Don't forget, we didn't know that Opri was hired as a media savvy attorney at the time.

Was Larry trying to be clever? He MIGHT NOT have had to pay taxes on them either...since they had not been received by him except they really are considered "received" when they were deposited. I have a feeling that Larry is/was trying to bypass "THE IRS COMETH" scene AND dupe the public's view of him.

I figure that Daniels inquest, if it happens at all, will be a farce down there. Hopefully, “someone” can get another looksee into it in the US. If LB was the man we all used to think, he would be turning over every rock to find out the truth on both ANS and Daniel.

IMO Anna was dead when Howie left for the boat(that bit about him yelling to her sorta makes me laugh)
I have a question...if she was dead already...did anyone else in the room know? I believe KE knew. But did Taz or Moe know at the time?

We have to give Larry credit for his acting abilities.

The idea that he would even want to associate with Howard is inconceivable but they're good buds, Howard has control over the Estate AND Virgie was sent back to the farm COURTESY OF BOTH OF THEM, with a heavy heart and no justice for Anna, Danny or Dannie Lynn.

I don't believe God has abandoned Virgie. Somehow Justice will reign....and I think it's coming.

I'd say only KE and HOWARD knew she was dead when he left the hotel.

That's why I would like to see all the phone calls between her and Howard for the 12 hours before and the 12 hours after Anna's death.

I'd also look to see if Howard and/or KE purchased any throw away phones recently.

What always intrigued me was that Daniel was helping his mom to the bathroom about 2 hours before he died. And Howard was helping Anna to the bathroom about 2 hours before she died.

But Howard NEVER mentions Daniel or Anna taking anything to drink before they laid down for the last time in either scenario.
