if you are able to watch video on the right side, they do show a few pics of DL, and, very strangely, they cut to a 3-sec shot of ANS, in a black dress, smiling and nodding yes, right after LB says, he tried to cover the Derby party a few years ago and they hung up on him and now he’s an invited guest. wierd. (was the same dress she was wearing for the ET ‘mommy dearest’ tape but she was smiling broadly and nodding, yes. totally out of place and totally strange) Judy saying that LB not feeling well ‘physically’. Says the best part about it is DL is ‘ours’. LB talking about ‘making the rounds’ to more family so they can meet DL. no mention of making rounds to virgie’s house, tho (grin)
You’re welcome;) You may well be more “up” on some things than I am, as I haven’t been going back and researching.
I know my father would leave me a key and have me check on the house from time to time, even if he had changed locks for some reason. Daniel did live nearby, I think. I was remembering the various pills Anna apparently left behind at the Shellys’ Florida house that were shown on TV, and they and the housekeepers mentioned pills left in a drawer and stuff in her room. That made me think she was pretty careless about her pills and leaving some behind(dropping them, pills falling out of bottles, etc.)
I’m not at all sure about this, but I thought ANS and HKS brought in Wecht right away because they HADN’T been told results of Daniel’s autopsy and besides, the Bahamian tox reports weren’t in yet when Wecht did his autopsy.I was under the impression they hadn’t really gotten any info back yet from the Bahamian autopsy and wanted as much info as they could get from their own. That’s just one other reason I wouldn’t believe they hired Wecht to cover up anything and I doubt Wecht would ever go along with such a scheme. It would be too obvious. Anna, at least, had some suspicions about possible drug use in Daniel, or she wouldn’t have expressed the thought. She could still have been surprised, as Daniel may well not have experimented with drugs, prescription or otherwise, until relatively recently. Many good people, young and old, can easily let their guard down in moments of depression or mental anguish and take a drug, drink, or do something else that they hadn’t been previously known to do. I did, when young, and had been pretty much straight as an arrow.
Another thing we’re foggy on is whether or not Anna ever took methadone in the form of pills, or did she always use nothing but liquid methadone? Were methadone pills ever prescribed to Anna or anyone else in her close circle? If not, Daniel got that methadone pill/s from somewhere else, if the report of a methadone pill on the hospital bed or in his pants pocket is true. We really don’t yet know if it IS true. I’ll tell ya, pills of various sorts seem to have popped up in all sorts of strange places:)
Another thing that, to me, points to Daniel as being the source of the methadone in his own body(aside from where he got it)is what Ford Shelly said. He said he saw a couple of pills (what they were, we have no idea tho) come out of Daniel’s jean pocket when Howard was going through those pockets at the house in the Bahamas. It had to have been at the house and not the hospital, as the jeans he was wearing were taken by the coroner and police. I presume the jeans Shelly saw came from Daniel’s luggage. Now, if what Shelly says is true, and we don’t know for sure that it is, it looks to me that Daniel definitely brought pills of whatever sort with him from CA to the Bahamas. If that turns out to be fact, Daniel’s death sure doesn’t look anything like murder to me. Notice I use a lot of “ifs!”

Bodyguard to famous in local film

WORCESTER— Maurice Lavell may not yet be a full-fledged celebrity, but his clientele are.
Under the name Maurice “Big Moe” Brighthaupt, Mr. Lavell served as bodyguard for Missy Elliot, DMX and, most recently and notably, Anna Nicole Smith.
Mr. Lavell, who stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel while in the city for a fundraiser last night, was the bodyguard of Ms. Smith on the day of her death. He administered CPR but, as the world now knows, was unable to resuscitate her.
“It’s still hard for me,” he said last night. “I wish I didn’t have this celebrity status from her death.”
Mr. Lavell was in the city to raise money for a short film to be shot this summer in Worcester.
The film, “Third Date,” was written by Worcester native Tom Henrickson and will be produced by Kristen Lucas of Worcester-based Goldilocks Productions.
At Union Station last night, more than 200 friends, family and well-wishers showed up to support Mr. Henrickson’s project through a silent auction of such items as a part in the movie, an autographed photograph of Trot Nixon, and a weeklong stay in Laconia, N.H.
Mr. Lavell became associated with the production through Ms. Lucas.
In 1992, shortly after Mr. Lavell graduated from Northeastern University, the two worked together on a student film, “B-Boyz” in which Mr. Lavell played the title character. Mr. Lavell has also had bit parts in “Striptease” and “Miami Vice.”
In “Third Date,” Mr. Lavell is slated to play a friend of the main character who sets up the scenarios for the storyline, a man who can’t seem to get past the third date.
“People only see me as the big, tough guy,” he said. “This is not a big, tough-guy role.”
Mr. Henrickson’s full-length script, which garnered interest from Nancy Tenenbaum Films and Happy Madison Productions but was unable to secure funding, has been condensed to create the short.
“Instead of handing out a script,” said Mr. Henrickson, “we’ll just hand out the DVD.”

May 7, 2007 — CALL the exterminators. Get out the Raid. From the woodwork this week comes a threatened lawsuit from the only creature to crawl through Anna Nicole Smith’s life from whom we have not yet heard. But now he, too, wants in on the p.r. and payoffs.
An L.A. lawyer, name James Balesh, represents something called Donnie Hogan. A brother. Who has “claims arising out of the publication of the book, ‘Train Wreck: The Life and Death of Anna Nicole Smith.’ “ The author is Donna Hogan, their sister. Donnie is suddenly “offended” at its “false . . . offensive . . . defamatory statements.” Like, Page 7, describing their house: “windows were broken and the children froze . . . the place didn’t have running water.” Page 30: “Donnie would get really drunk and rowdy and Anna would chew him out.” Also, Page 41, which states Anna took Donnie “to porn parties and social events.”
Adding to said horrific statements, he’s also outraged at photographs “used without his permission.” Despite these capital crimes, he’s demanding “promised” royalties, even though “he never received anything in writing to reflect this arrangement.”
Says sister Donna Hogan in response: “It’s a shame Donnie so desperately wants to profit from his sister’s tragic death. Maybe he needs some new tires for his house.”

“Did I miss it - what did the Dr. say re your thyroid?”
No Liz, you didn’t miss it, I’ve just been too weak to try and explain. It’s a matter of ‘where to begin’ vs. ‘where to end’ type of thing. You have to know that I have routinely, at least once a month over the past 3 years, presented my family doctors, cardiologist, rheumatologist, neurologist, and sleep specialist with a ‘laundry list’ of complaints. When I first met them all, 3 years ago, I was already diagnosed and being treated for severe Restless Legs/Periodic Limb Movement, severe Fibromyalgia/CF, severe, untreatable Depression (treatment exacerbates movement), long-term sleep depravation (less than 4 hours of interrupted, no REM, sleep per night since 1998), and borderline hypertension. Each time I presented a new complaint, either another drug has been added or the complaint ignored/dismissed. I’ve gone from taking 3 different meds (2003) to currently taking 17 different meds, 24 pills a day. Still, I have no answers as to why, for instance (and these are just a few), my calves and feet are always cold and have unexplained intermittent swelling, my hair is falling out, at times I can barely swallow liquids, the palms of my hands blister and are calloused, my stomach is distended and aches, and as someone who’s job, just a few years ago, was to handle a Chairman’s checkbook (balance never less than $15,000) I no longer have the cognitive function necessary to balance my measely $115 account or handle/budget a trip to the grocery store....simple trips which regularly end in numb legs, tears, speech stammering, and an inability to even count change.
I’ve grown tired of wondering each day if today will be the day I simply collapse from it all and I’ve grown tireder still of being treated like a hypochondriac in my search for answers. Paranoid deviation, my a$$. In desparation, I go into some detail here in hope that SOMEONE can relate to this experience ;)
So, considering that most MD’s don’t have time to do an indepth review of my chart, I presented the doctor with a before 2003/after 2003 comparison/list of diagnosis, treatment, and ‘complaints’ that have just been left hanging. All nice and neat, 3 years of vists summed up on one single piece of paper. I also suggested that ‘connecting the dots’ of such a wide variety of complaints that, on their face, seem disconnected, may in fact, collectively indicate symptoms of Hypothyroidism. My mother had it.
My homework was given a glance over, handed back to me, and I was told that I had been tested for Hypo back in October and fell within the ‘normal’ range (THS at 1.84 and Free T4 at .72). And I was told, regardless of all my other symptoms, my heart rate is always about 120 (not so according to Cardiologist), and that would be a symptom of HyPERthyroid, not Hypo. But, I say, it can be both. No, I’m told, it isn’t, and if she were proven wrong, would ‘hang up her coat’, ‘go back to medical school’ (she’s wrong, according to Cardiologist)...so, I reminded her, pointing to my list, what about all these symptoms?...what about swelling and always cold feet?, “well, maybe we should have your circulation tested”... test not ordered, what about my blistered and calloused palms?, examining them “ummm, does that itch?” “don’t pick at it”,... no remedy suggested or prescribed, my hair is falling out?, ...silence, what about the carpel tunnel?, “we can fit you for a brace for that”.... no ‘brace’ prescribed, what about the difficulty swallowing, feel like something stuck in my throat, burning mouth?, “ ummmm, well, blood transfusion for anemia in August should have taken care of that” and “endoscopy showed nothing in your throat”.... guessing “anxiety”, what about my memory, cognitive problems? “your memory is fine” “stress and anxiety” “overwhelmed.... take a xanax”. I ask to be tested for Free T4 and Free T3 and thyroid antibody. I was given a script for testing Free T4 and THS. Why no antibody? “Insurance won’t cover antibody test until results are in from FT4 and THS.” Ok, well, if it comes back normal again, will you treat me anyway, based on ‘laundry list’ of symptoms? “No. It could be dangerous because of your high heart rate”. (rate disputed by Cardiologist). Ok, well, if it’s dangerous to treat me for it, what are you going to do when the test comes back indicating Hypo? “We’ll talk about it when the times comes”.
I have decided that regardless of the test results, I WILL find someone willing to at least try and see if thyroid medication will work, based on all the symptoms. Cardio says I’m not at risk, though shouldn’t be treated for it, if I don’t have it, based on test results. Hogwash.
Anyway, probably too much information, but,like I said, am hoping that some freepers might relate, or is it ‘just me’? Also, since I cannot process numbers, can someone please tell me where/how those FreeT4 and THS numbers fall in the range, good, bad, or ok. Also, if those numbers could have been affected by a blood transfusion I had, about 6 weeks prior?

That was nice...well, kind of...very saddened for Virige though...clearly the Birkhead family wants absolutely nothing to do with her, yet when asked what the grandparents want, they expressed they too (just like Virgie has stated) just want to be the grandparents and have the baby in their lives. His sister said she just wanted DL to recognize her, bond with her, and know her well. (I’m sure Virgie would like the same)
So, I’m concerned, based on all that was said, that Virgie, unless she fights for some kind of visitation schedule, may end up getting little or none.
