Please. This series was made back in 2005. And BBC Wales sis not know or plan prodution around it being eventially shown on PBS.

To suggest thay PBS can affect something that happened two years ago: that would involve time travel, which is silly.

On that part, it does continue the fine ol tradition of using dishy lassies as the Doctor’s companions.

I will say this, in the new episodes with the Daleks and the Cybermen, the new Doc was no “Girlieman.”

I thought the new show wouldn't be as good once Ms. Piper left at the end of series 2. After all, it took me a good 4-5 episodes to get used to the new Doctor. But series 3 kicked off rather well with Freema Agyeman. The new storyline is decent and the list of actors lined up for guest appearances looks good as well (not to mention Catherine Tate already at the end of series 2)

Now Torchwood on the other hand. I'll give the second series a chance but Capt Jack just can't carry a show as well as the good Doctor

The new series has it’s good points and bad. The main writer is already recycling ideas, and he injects his left-wing and his gay adgenda in here and there where he can. They still have stupid campy stuff which I wish they would drop, but there are still some very good episodes.

Series 3 just finished in the UK on Dr. Who and just started last week on Sci-Fi. New companion and several two part episodes. Captain Jack is in it for at least the last two episodes IIRC. The season finale last 10 minutes.....not going to spoil it for those who haven't seen it yet. Eh, about 13 weeks from now your jaw may drop from the revelation. Not series changing or anything but it is interesting....Episodes to recommend in advance not to miss. New New York (next week I think on Sci-Fi), the crying angels (don't blink!!), and the two parter where it appears at first the Doctor loses his memory (starts in 1913 or so).

And that's not giving anything away whatsoever on the shows.
