Thread Number Two
hummmm...."an injection GIVEN TO the model"
Wondering if the 'potent sleep aid' was the chloryl hydrate? and how would anyone know that this was administered TO HER and that it was three days before she died?
Dirty needle probabaly = sepsis.
I believe every word of that affidavit.
Wonder if Dr. KE only had the one needle. She was there during that period.
More recently, according to observations here, KE has had an enormous boil on her face, must be that same needle!!!
(well Howard has just the one shirt;)
I have been considering that Anna and Daniel had decided these people did not have her best interest at heart and someone found out.............thus bingo they're both dead. It's just too much of a coincidence that they both wind up dead within a 5 month period.
World Exclusive: Anna Nicole Smith Died With Toxic Level Of Sleeping Medication In Her System
Anna Nicole Smith died with a toxic level of the sleeping medication chloral hydrate in her system.
In a joint newsgathering operation, the National ENQUIRER and Star magazine have solved the mystery of the former Playboy model's death and provide a detailed portrait of her final days.
The world exclusive details come days before Broward County, Fla., Chief Medical Examiner Joshua Perper will hold a press conference to announce the former Playboy Playmate's cause of death.
The ENQUIRER and Star have also learned that Anna Nicole had a raging blood infection. The infection was caused by an unsterilized needle and contributed to her death.
The infection was so serious, it would have killed her if she had not overdosed.
Contrary to speculation, tests show Anna Nicole did not have methadone or any other painkilling drug in her system at the time of her death.
The ENQUIRER learned that just before she left the Bahamas for Florida on February 5, three days before she died, Anna Nicole received an injection in her left buttock.
Tests did not reveal what that substance was.
"As she boarded the plane for Miami, Anna Nicole developed a painful abscess at the site of the injection," said a source with knowledge of the case. "The needle wasn't sterile. The pain kept getting worse as the abscess got larger and larger very quickly."
From Miami, Anna Nicole and her live-in lawyer Howard K. Stern traveled to Hollywood, Fla. The pain from the abscess became excruciating and Anna Nicole developed a high fever.
By the time she got to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino her fever was 105.
Anna Nicole, unaware that her blood was being poisoned by infection, had also developed a second infection from a virulent form of norovirus, which causes intestinal problems.
It was at this point that Anna Nicole and her entourage made a fatal mistake. She refused to go to a hospital, a decision that would have saved her life.
Instead, Anna's people gave her an ice bath to control the fever, administered the antibiotic ciprofloxacin by mouth and gave her an over-the-counter flu medicine.
As the needle-caused infection took over her body, she began vomiting, had severe diarrhea and could not urinate.
On February 6, a Tuesday, Anna spent the whole day in bed. She could not keep fluids down. She was becoming severely dehydrated.
On Wednesday, February 7, Anna seemed somewhat better, but she wasn't, the source said.
"She was still vomiting and suffering diarrhea," said the source. "Again, she spent the whole day in bed, as the abscess continued to grow. She was in such pain, she just wanted to sleep."
And that's when the final fatal mistake was made. Sometime overnight on February 7, Anna ingested the sleeping medication chloral hydrate. The drug is extremely potent. The dose was too much and in fact it was a toxic level, the ENQUIRER and Star have learned exclusively. On Thursday, February 8, Anna never woke up.
A nurse found her unresponsive at about 1:30 p.m.
At 2:49 p.m., Anna Nicole Smith was pronounced dead.
Preliminary analysis indicated the cause of death was systemic sepsis syndrome, a lethal blood infection. It was caused by the abscess of the left buttock. Further investigation revealed the fatal level of chloral hydrate.
Chloral hydrate can cause depression of respiration, especially in a person who is already sick because of an infection and dehydration and it can cause death within a relatively short period of time.
Anna Nicole also had scarring from numerous injections she got in the buttocks. Anna Nicole Smith died with a toxic level of the sleeping medication chloral hydrate in her system.

I posted the following on 3/16 (I think it was post #4,167: Thinking about Perper's questions about an alcohol swab. ANS symptoms sound a lot like septicemia, not the flu. Addicts using dirty needles can contract the blood poisoning. Without quick treatment, she'd be a goner. Some septicemia symptoms are fever (sudden onset, often spiking), chills, toxic looking, cyanotic (blue), unresponsive, petechiae (pinpoint rash-like). So, Perper's looking at an unintentional death scenario. I think the various police depts are looking into the doctors for their script-writing, but not at homocide. Murder is apparently evident only to us Freepers.
Well, I don't really know that she did sink. We first heard that she was floating face down on top of the water. Then the story grew and all of a sudden, after several tellings, it becamse ANS on the bottom of the pool in 10 feet of water.
The only thing that didn't change was HKS telling Moe to go save Anna, apparently while just standing there on the poolside decking yelling orders. I'm sure he was put out with her, since, as Moe told us, "Miss Anna wasn't allowed in the water."
Moe revived her and she was OK, just shook it off and thanked him. *ho hum - just another day of swimmming*
I've so little confidence in the ME comprehensively assessing material and evidence collected that I've taken solace in learning the police are not compelled to accept his conclusion.
Surely the investigation is being conducted by at least one 'what if' person, but I fear you're correct in that they are not likely to expend credibility without the ME's manner of death serving as a basis for that expenditure.
The slim possibility does exist that they are withholding their intent to prevent potential suspects from taking drastic measures of self defense.
I hope and pray we're wrong, too.
It depends on if their was an onset of sepsis due to the abscess. If not treated, I think you can die pretty quickly from sepsis. What I find hard to understand is how an abscess can get so bad that sepsis developed that quickly and how can anyone determine the number of days?
BUT, are we assuming that the abscess was a result of a dirty needle? I read on CTV that the abscess was in her lung???
It depends on what answers he got from those close to her when he asked "Did Anna normally use alcohol swabs before injecting herself?"
See, everyone *assumed* the question meant that someone *hadn't* used an alcohol swab, thinking Anna hadn't. I was thinking the opposite - that maybe *she* usually did, but someone new didn't.
Some hospitals have cameras to view the patients which sit at the nurses station. There are about 4 little black and white monitors each of which looks at a patient for about a minute and then switches to another patient.
If there were a camera, it would've been focused directly on Anna and her bed. So whatever Howard did he'd have to have done across the room from Anna. And if Howard suspected a camera he'd have done it discreetly away from there.
Do we know whether or not she was capable, at any time, of giving herself an injection in the left buttock?
I don't believe the story....I'll wait....
I have not heard KGG.
"Had no clue he existed until his blog was listed on this thread."
Same here.
It's hard to believe anything that comes from 'rags', but the way it's written, wouldn't they get sued, big time, if they're wrong on this?
Well Monday around 10am should be very interesting.
I find it interesting that Perper [I'm guessing] decided Monday would be the best day to release this. Usually any news released on Friday sort of dies on the weekend.
KE can't be much of a Dr if she was there during this time period when Anna was so sick and NOT know she should be in the hospital!
hummm....well, seems to me if she could not inject herself in either buttock...then someone did it for her and that person will be in deep doo doo....did you read my post earlier about the CTV trial that's going on right now...re: chloral hydrate?
Yesterday, I saw it scrolling that the presser was going to be Monday at 4pm...today I'm reading 10 and 10:30 am?
If not, they should.did you read my post earlier about the CTV trial that's going on right now...re: chloral hydrate?
No, I have not, but I will.
Thanks for pointing it out.
