ANNA NICOLE SMITH's late son DANIEL feared his mother was being kept in a drugged state and came close to hiring a private detective to investigate her relationship with companion HOWARD K. STERN, according to US reports.
California private investigator JACK E. HARDING has revealed the troubled 20-year-old came to him with his concerns three months before he died last September (06) - but never followed through on his plans to commission the detective.

In a private meeting, Daniel told Harding he feared his mother was being held "a virtual prisoner" in Nassau, the Bahamas by Stern, who was controlling her like a svengali.
Harding tells US tabloid the Globe, "Daniel felt Stern was keeping her on mind-bending drugs even though she was pregnant (with baby DANNIELYNN). He feared for his mother's well-being... and he was angry at being pushed out of his mother's life." Following Daniel's suspicious drug overdose death days after his baby sister was born, the private detective contacted Bahamian detectives.
He adds, "I told them of our discussions and Daniel's concerns. They seemed interested." And then, when Anna Nicole Smith died last month (FEB07), Harding's suspicions left him with several questions.

He explains, "When two people die so tragically in ways that may be related... police need to pursue every lead."

It makes me think that Stern and KE where keeping her doped up to play mind games with her. Also being under that many drugs will cause you to hallucinate and see things

I've been hinting all along that I, the dumb dog, think something is more than what we see with these people. Dumb dog thinks that Daniel had possibly them in mind (as well) when he went to Jack Harding telling him that he didn't like the people surrounding his mother.

Thats it. Just keeping the playing field open for all players to have a bad side. NOBODY involved in this fiasco have earned halo or wings.

I dunno. It made sense to me. Ford was livid on the stand, they all talk privately, so I figured a misunderstanding was ironed out about Reilly and the phone business. Since then, Ford has been pretty darn careful in choosing his words, from what I've seen. But, it looks like he's still been leaking info and video, which, though interesting, probably should only be viewed by investigators and attorneys and not put out for public consumption. IMO.

Why is Howard K. Stern still living in the home in the Bahamas that Anna Nicole Smith occupied right before she made her fateful trip to Florida? Anna, of course, would never return to that home as she died on the trip. Now it appears that her quasi husband Stern may be kicked to the curb. A report from Us Weekly magazine claims that G. Ben Thompson is so certain that Howard isn't Dannielynn's father that he's set to evict the lawyer. G. Ben Thompson bought the Horizons house in Smith's name with the understanding that the former playmate would eventually buy it. Of course she never did, and the debate was that the mansion was a gift.

Now Thompson wants to serve Stern with an eviction notice. "We did this only after we found out that the courts directed that Howard K. Stern and the other parties seeking paternity take a DNA test," he explained.

"We know that Howard K. Stern cannot pass that test in any way that would suggest he is the father of that particular child," Thompson's attorney, Godfrey Pinder told Access Hollywood. "Once that is done, we know that he will no longer have any reason to be in the house because he will not be the child's father.He is not associated with the child in any way except maybe through the will which we believe is not necessarily a good will and therefore he will have to leave."

Add to that Us reports that to add insult to homelessness, Pinder said that if Birkhead or Smith's mom, Virgie Arthur, win custody of the 6-month-old, they might be allowed to live in the house.

I'm used to pinching pennies, but to see those two gouls trying to economize on Anna's money, makes me want to throw up.

I wouldn't doubt if there was a biological link between KE and HKS.
