Thread Number Two
Wow, paregoric! That was opium! I had a college suitemate who would get the prescription (for diarrhea) from her doctor that she had since she was a child and then soak regular cigarettes in it, let them dry and she and her friends would smoke them to get high.
Didn’t do anything for me. This was during the Summer of Love and people were also smoking mellow yellow banana skins, remember!
We were really poor! We smoked grapevines!
btw, re paragoric: it wasn’t that long ago you could get it without a script. You just had to sign for it.
Looked like KE ducking into the garage (Lexus SUV and Mercedes sedan parked) and her husband confronted the BOR film crew and blamed the media for Anna’s death.
Was Paregoric used for colic? I also remember Coke syrup for upset tummys. My mom would always rub whiskey on a teething babies gums and blow cigarette smoke in an ear for an earache! Oh! And tobacco from a cig mixed with water to put on bee stings! lol
**Anyone remember..Was KE with Anna when the baby was born??
Erosovich was there prior to, was in Calif to see Daniel just before he flew, (remember? stomachache?) then immediately after, (9/12-9/16) when Stern had Anna sedated and removed from the hospital the same day Daniel died. Not sure from which location Khrisvorkian faxed kapoor then key pharmacy with the 9/15 laundry list?? Shelley should be able to tell us since he was staying at the house the day Daniel passed.
pharmacy for 9 stern rx’s was Ralphs Pharmacy, Studio City, CA
(ralph’s grocery store chain?)
cipro and tamiflu were filled locally at walgreens, hollywood, fl
We used paragoric for teething so the baby AND the parents could get some sleep.
Not sure what it was supposed to be used for.
btw, Our moms should all be doin’ hard time for the things they did to us!! lol
Thinking back now, maybe she got it in the college infirmary. But we *knew* it was opium and I don’t think anyone just went to the drugstore and bought it. Maybe they did - I’m not real up on drugs at all.
That Ralph’s is pretty much on a beeline from KE’s house to her office.
When my kids were little we still just asked and signed. No biggie. (my oldest is 26)
Everyone else seems to think KE was at Horizons when she faxed that list, but I read it that she was in CA and getting ready to go to Nassau.
She gives him her CA phone numbers and says “you have my number here.”
However, it’s apparent she easily went back and forth a lot, so it could be either one.
Oh, but it wasn’t out on a shelf, then?
My 24 yr old daughter’s bf ate half a standing rib roast at Xmas dinner one year. No class. He laughed when he saw the espression on our faces.
We make it a point to let the owner of the shop know to save us the smallest turkey. I remember lifting turkeys in the good old days(cripes, I’m only 47), and they weighed a ton!
I can’t stand and cook like I used to, but I remember the holiday dinners where I literally started the day before, and spent the day in question on my feet for 8 hours.
I’ll bounce back :)
No. Behind the counter.
pretty much on a beeline
lol when i call her ‘khrisvorkian’ i’m not just whistlin’ dixie (smile)
Nite Unc and pleasant dreams :)
**KE will start singing like a bird
squawkin’ like a bahamaian parrot lololol
OK - thx
I noticed ET..
speaking of ET, it would do my heart good, to see Mark Steines squirming next to a judge on show-and-tell day, especially since his account of ‘wednesday’ is a LOT different from Eroshevich’s and Moe/Taz/Bridgette/Stern who’s various melodramatic versions aren’t the same at all on any given day, ever...
Yeah, someone educated me upthread. That is a blatant conflict of interest. Liar Liar, gonna burn on a funeral pyre.
That was not a threat, btw Mr. Wood. I’d be lucky enough to bbq chicken properly.
