Thread Number Two
“I’m so glad that bill became public. Makes her look tacky and greedy.”
I posted yesterday saying that I ate at Graycliff, in Nassau, two times. It’s a nice restaurant, but NO WAY would it cost what she said it did. NO WAY. She must have entertained 10 people or more, or bought boxes of cigars at their cigar factory on the premises. Some cigars (each) are more expensive than a meal there. I am not exaggerating.
I was wondering the same thing - does it mean a evening court session in the Bahamas or do they mean that the 4/3/07 Bahamian court session will occur during the evening in Aussie time
What time is it in Australia?
Hi It was Scoobeedoo who posted this bleep way back in da day!

The Thompson scoop. (I had an inside source tho) But I was not popular for that info. It was discredited and hurt my fweelings.... But Fatima was kind to me and told me to keep my chin up ((hugs to her))...
So ET is lurkin and lookin you think? Big smile!
I’m still here. I usually don’t have very big original thoughts. Just the queen of what ifs....
Be typing at yah after daybreak.
HKS is gonna have a hard time proving Larry unfit. He should be worried about himself because everyone already knows that he is the one who is unfit. Someone on TV mentioned that maybe social services will take the child once Larry is shown to be the father. I hope that happens very quickly.
Nite Kat!
Greta was saying that she entertained the Bahama lawyers and would wine and dine them to take the case for lower fees and to wait on payment etc etc. That in itself (and the way Greta made it sound all lawyers do it) seems so shady and unethical to me. Just like Ted and the other lawyer guy who looks like Alton Brown says Opri, Seidlin, and Stern give lawyers a black eye.
sorry I see your message now...
I have never seen a article written like that before so it peaked my curiousity if there was some secret evening meeting in the Bahamas tonight.
Bernie Grimm (sp?) is the Alton Brown look-alike?
Look under scoobeedoo and see what comes up,
Night TexKat!
Scoob, what ifs ARE original thoughts. They are very useful in developing theories. We what iffers are important contributors here too.
BTW, Mom.... back to the conversation on anemia, just read through a very interestng medical discussion on a health list this afternoon and thought of you... Vitamin C (in addition to everything else good it does) also helps rebuild red blood cells so is helpful for anemics...just dont get ascorbic C.. get a good quality c-1000 with Biflavinoids in capsule form.
**************************************
Actually, Vit C helps absorb the iron in your blood. When taking an iron supplement, always go for carbonyl iron and take either with OJ or a Vit C tablet. Some iron get flushed out, but more get into your blood with the help of hte C. Also, there is a prescription called Tandem. That is amazing. It not only gives your ‘working’ iron for your daily blood use (energy and other better feelings) as well as increases your ferretin. I’ve been anemic for years, oh yeah and B12 wll always help/
I’ve never been a big Diane Diamond fan; isn’t she one of the reporters Pellicano was following and threatening?
Yup that’s it. Thanks.
This was that link - re GBT had been in prison
Is this what ET is using for their "scoop"?
whatahag...
Ted IS funny. But sometimes he’s annoying because he’s on the wrong side. But in this case, it seems he just can’t put his heart into supporting HKS.
The main reason is that his middle name is Benjamin, not Bengene.
The next reasons are that he did 150 RE transactions between 1984 and 1988, which someone who is in federal prison can’t do. He also owned a Houlihan’s from 1981 forward - might still, but I didn’t have time to continue checking on that. The ownership record hasn’t expired and isn’t suspended.
Note that I only focused on the 1984-1988 period, for purposes of this search, because the online index of recorded docs starts in 1984 and the person in question was in prison until 1988. “Our” Ben Thompson has had many hundreds more transactions in all the years until present.
There were numerous real estate development scandals with savings & loan associations during that time period in question, so I didn’t think it was out of the realm of possibility. I had friends and acquaintances myself who went to federal prison at that time.
Although their local newspaper archives online don’t go back that far, I did check to see if there were references in later days to any previous “scandal” and there weren’t.
There was a sidebar to a local newspaper article (mainly on Tiffany Furey) which I put in my notes, but which doesn’t come up in google anymore, so I can’t link it.

Anna Nicole link to MB well-liked
By Jenny Burns and Emma Ritch
The Sun News
Hairdresser remembers Smith’s idiosyncrasies
In the national media these days, his name is splashed around liberally as G. Ben Thompson.
His real name?
Gaither Benjamin Thompson, according to state and local records.
He’s a local developer of some note. And you may be living in a house or development he’s had a hand in.
Thompson, 59, was catapulted into the national spotlight because of his relationship with the late Anna Nicole Smith.
He briefly dated her and was involved in a dispute with the celebrity over the ownership of a $900,000 home in The Bahamas that she claimed he had given her as a present.
He has denied that claim.
Thompson did not return several telephone calls from The Sun News for this article.
Away from the Bahamas, he lives a much more quiet life and has an impressive resume as a developer.
His most recent project here was the Queens Harbour commercial and residential area.
But he was also involved in several other area projects, among them Arcadian Ridge, Charleston Place at Plantation Point and Steeplechase.
He also was involved in Socastee neighborhoods Rosewood, Cimmeron Plantation, Stonebridge and Lawson’s Landing.
“He’s built a lot of single-family houses,” said Marvin Heyd, president of the Coastal Carolinas Association of Realtors.
Heyd said Thompson also built other smaller townhome developments around the area.
“He’s a great customer of ours, been a developer for more than 30 years. He’s done a lot of [development] work in Florida,” said John Draughn, director of commercial sales and management at Coldwell Banker Chicora.
Thompson also helped Tripp Nealy, president of Independent Builders Development and part-owner of Myrtle Beach Building Supply, when Nealy was trying to develop land for the Strand’s small builders to compete with national builders moving into the area.
Nealy was just starting out when he met Thompson in January 2003.
“We bought an option on a piece of land with Ben. We did it on a handshake, never cashed a check. That’s uncommon around here. I couldn’t have done my part without him helping me like he did,” Nealy said.
That piece of land today is Lawson’s Landing - the local builders first community.
Thompson is also described as a good neighbor.
In addition to the Horizons house in the Bahamas and his brick home along the Intracoastal Waterway in Plantation Point, he has a house in Marathon, Fla., where he grows key limes.
“Ben makes one great key lime pie,” said Diane Rogers, who lives two houses down from Thompson in Plantation Point with her husband and their pets.
“He personally did it from scratch.”
Rogers’ husband, a pilot who owns his own plane, flew to Marathon with Thompson for a weekend. Thompson returned with some of his key limes.
“He is a great neighbor. The whole family [is]. The whole family - Gina and Ford and Ben - have been nothing but kind,” she said.
Mark Sichitano of Myrtle Beach, a family friend described Thompson as an outgoing family guy from Whiteville, N.C.
“He loves the river. Had boats his whole life. He’s taken us to the Bahamas, to the [Florida] Keys,” Sichitano said.
Boat registrations with the S.C. Department of Natural Resources show he’s had at least three boats.

>>>>It then goes on to list all his companies, which you can find in the SC Corporations listings as well. I feel certain that during all this brouhaha, if he had ever served federal time, it would have been covered extensively.
