Thread Number Two
What? What is this about? The magistrate was tossed? Are you serious?
Good to know. Particularly after such a discouraging day yesterday with a seemingly overwhelming "good day" for HKS and "bad day" for truth and justice.
That's a tough one to explain. You're gonna have to google.
Tuesdays proceedings were to have included testimony from witnesses including the manager of the East Bay Street Esso On The Run service station, where Daniel is supposed to have stopped for dinner, and to use the ATM on the way from the airport to visit his mother and Dannielynn.
This was supposedly around 1:15 on the morning of September 9.
The witnesses were eventually told around 11:45 Tuesday morning that they could leave, which they did. A few minutes later, the lawyers began filing out, and so did the jury.
While not all the witnesses are expected to have lawyers present to protect their interests, many of the more high-profile witnesses had lawyers present on Tuesday.
Attorneys Claire Hepburn and Michaela Sumner-Budhi appeared for Doctors Hospital, where the young man died. Anthony McKinney joined Mr. Munroe as counsel for Mr. Stern; Ms. Rose appeared for Mrs. Arthur, and Kara Butler for Daniels father Billy Smith.
Mr. Pinder appeared for G. Ben Thompson, the man who claims to own the Horizons home where Ms. Smith lived while resident in The Bahamas.
He also represents Mr. Thompsons son-in-law Ford Shelley Jr. Mr. Pinder also appeared for Quethlie Alexie and Nadine Alexis, sisters who worked as nannies at Horizons caring for Ms. Smiths baby.

Yeah, the left hip injection was on Friday in The Bahamas, before they went to FL on Monday.
FWIW, in between, Saturday Feb 3, was the "mistaken" date "accidentally" imprinted on the copy of ANS's will faxed to the Bahamas house by RAR.
There is no evidence that Anna Nicloe Smith was being de-toxed. That's what I'm calling speculation.
If you have proof of this, I'd love to see the link? If not, then it's gossip or rumor or speculation, and will help solve nothing.
We have a nice thread going here with many thoughts.
Look sissyjane, when you post something, you've got to expect someone might reply to your post. That's what i did. You've been on this thread long enough to know that many of us are speculating because we are seriously trying to help provide info and/or ideas for people to consider. If you're only here to look at things that are proven then just lurk and don't post. But if you post something which you say is proof, you should know by now that someone could reply to you. And btw, if you think the info that you've got from Dr. Perper is the gospel truth than you are naive.
We have a very nice thread, but is it a thread to gather facts, or merely spread gossip and rumor?
By the way--I haven't posted one unkind word, merely questions.
Thanks - gmta - that's where I was - hoping they'd have some names to help me fill in some blanks from GVS. Nopey nope. I have *some* however - probably enough to justify the list for tomorrow. Some may be wrong, tho.
I've got the whole day to finish with the little nit-picking things. Two people I still can't find that have wasted my time incredibly.
They are sisters.
Oh please excuse me for asking if something was a fact or a rumor, great thread nanny...
Byeeee........Happy rumor mongering!
I did not say that you did by the way. We are just talking and pulling in thoughts.Have you never read these threads?
Seems you're the "great thread nanny". You're the one telling others what not to post to you. We can post whatever we feel like and so can you. And you are excused for thinking you are so high and mighty with all your supposed true facts.
Byeeee........Happy rumor mongering!
Buh Bye now. Have a nice time believing all the stuff you read in that autopsy report. All those "facts" that HKS and KE told Dr. Perper.
Awww Mannnn. You're so MEAN Sac! All i wanted to know is if Chief Magistrate Gomez was off the case.
I tried to google but didn't get anything to that affect. So can you at least gimme a hint at what to search for?
sissyjane Don't leave.it would be nice to hear your input.
Make sure you reply to post 12,855 !! It has you written all over it. Gossip to the max!! Yeah!!!
Coroner removed from case
The Bahama Journal revealed on the 20th that Bahamas Chief Justice Sir Burton Hall had issued a Supreme Court Memorandum, stripping Magistrate Linda Virgill of the exclusive designation of coroner and abolished the special 'Coroners Court'. "In the extraordinary cases in which it is necessary to hold an inquest, the facilities now available to accommodate a jury will be accessible to any magistrate" The chief justice did not provide a reason for his decision.
Chief Magistrate Roger Gomez confirmed that Mrs. Virgill would not preside over an inquest into Daniel Smiths death on the 20th. According to Gomez, it was not a vote of "no confidence" in Mrs. Virgills abilities, she will still be a magistrate, and still be able to hear inquests but "Because of the remarks she made, She wont be hearing that one"
The memo provided that the office of the Chief Magistrate will receive all reports of completed investigations by the police into those deaths with which the Coroners Act is concerned, and the Chief Magistrate will assign particular matters to any magistrate. Chief Magistrate Gomez said that an inquest might not be needed in the Daniel Smith case. Once the awaited toxicological reports come in, they would be forwarded to the police and the Office of the Attorney General. If the Attorney General feels an inquest is called for, Attorney General Allyson Maynard-Gibson would send the file to his office to assign.

it has been argued by some that the Daniel Smith matter led to the dismantling of the Coroners Court....Days after Chief Coroner Linda Virgill gave an impromptu press conference, at which she labeled Daniels death suspicious and announced that she would hold an inquest beginning October 23, Chief Justice Sir Burton Hall issued a directive stripping Mrs. Virgill of the exclusive designation of coroner and reverting to the pre-1993 practice of having all magistrates in the pool hearing coroners matters....

Thank you very much, but I'm not wanted here, or needed. Have a good evening.
I'm quite sure this will be my last post on this thread.
