Therein lies our big problem.
Nancy Grace kept going on about how Howard's team is trying to use overturned case law to persuade the court - she seems to think it's not going to fly.
I can't go to that other thread. I don't even KNOW those people. OK we'll both stay and try not to duplicate each other. We each have our own individual snide remarks. So that's not redundant. we can still use those.
You'll finally have to break down and make friends with your neighbors - the Democrats next door.
We can't type as fast as developments.
Howie's attys have started blocking and filling - fear of pre-trial publicity for an inquest. He is acting like a defendant in a murder trial. Wants to question the 12 jurors (7 will be selected) There are 45 witnesses.
No doubt that we will hear from hospital personnel and other unknowns. Larry wants to go home to work on his nursery. Larry will give testimony on Daniel and his/Anna's relationship. Larry volunteered. Virgie was not summoned and is not allowed to testify on her knowledge of Daniel.
A lot of the machinations suck, but I believe the judge is going to handle this in a dignified intelligent and ethical manner.
Then again, I've been wrong before.

Little by little, Howard has been dumping his Aces...and will wind up either bluffing or folding.

Broward County Medical Examiner Joshua Perper said Anna Nicole Smith had been suffering from the stomach flu, a 105-degree fever and an infection from repeated drug injections. But the coroner said she may have lived if she would have just been taken to the hospital and sought treatment. If Smith, 39, had sought treatment for her flu, she might have been saved, Perper said, if only because her drug use could have been controlled: "If she would have gone to the hospital she wouldn't have died because she wouldn't have had the opportunity to take the excessive amount of chloral hydrate."

That has brought an onslaught of criticism aimed squarely at those that surrounded her as she lay dying in a hotel room in Florida. Questions seem to really be aimed at Howard K. Stern. On MSNBC the question was asked why didn't the lawyer seek medical treatment for the woman he referred to as his wife. One report even asked if it was criminal to ignore her symptoms.

But according to a statement from lawyers for Stern, she refused emergency care in the days before her death because "she did not want the media frenzy that follows her."
Both Stern and Smith's physician implored her to seek emergency treatment, but Smith refused to go to the hospital because she wanted to avoid media," attorney Lilly Ann Sanchez said in a news release, the AP reports. "Anna called the shots in Anna's life and everyone close to her knows that."

The AP reported Tuesday that Stern's lawyer said the chloral hydrate was prescribed for Smith by her friend and psychiatrist, Dr. Khristine Eroshevich, who also traveled with her to Florida. "She was having nightmares. She was having hallucinations. She was unable to sleep," Sanchez said, adding that Eroshevich turned to "an older, tried and true drug" because it was more effective for Smith than newer sleeping medicines.
Chloral hydrate, a rarely prescribed sedative, is known to be fatal if combined with certain other drugs – including the sedative Lorazepam, which the autopsy showed Smith was taking, Dr. Chip Walls, a forensic toxicologist for the Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami, told the AP.
