I have tried at several intervals today to get her latest column, and the browser just hangs there. It's definitely a problem with her server. Anyone wanna bet it's the "free speech" lovin' left attempting to jam her ability to speak freely?
Did any of the Democrats condemn this book?
The Intimate World of Abraham Lincoln, by C.A. Tripp
Christine Stansell, The New Republic, wrote this about Tripp's book...
"[G]ay? Abraham Lincoln? How would you ever know? And why would you ever care? Surely there is no president whose sexuality we less want to think about....Yet the virtue of this little book is to get you wondering....In his very naïveté...Tripp compiles a dossier of ambiguities not truths, but ambiguities worth considering."
If a New Republic writer tells us it's a virtue to wonder about Lincoln's sexuality, I'm sure we can assume it's a virtue to wonder about Edward's sexuality.
Interesting indeed. Given that these are all out of context and do not correlate at all with Ann's latest episode I'd have to say -- so?
Could you try giving specific examples of how Ann has done things which correspond to each of your quote-mines?
Cheers!
Funny. I read your quotes from Ann and thought you were backing her up. She's absolutely right. Your statement, which I hadn't noticed, seems silly and childish now that I read it, but thanks for an enjoyable post anyway. Those are great quotes.
I have always been able to get to her web site. But today it's a no go.
Me too, but not today. Actually tried yesterday and it didn't work then either.
there are human rights abuses for those who dissent against the "perfect" society.
It's called social justice when you write the rules...
I still can't access the site. What's up???....JJ61
