As we settle into the nighttime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!
Good morning!!
We, here, will never forget those who died on September 11, 2001, as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm!!
On a vote of 246 to 182, mostly along party lines, the House indicated it should be National policy to shame the troops and support defeat in the current war.
Interestingly, the DemoncRATS say they don't want to repeat the finale of the Vietnam War where they pulled the rug out from under the Saigon regime, and forever became known as the party of peace at any cost. Nevertheless, that is exactly the strategy they are pursuing.
Today, the Senate will likely tell the world "wait long enough, America will leave," placing our troops in Baghdad and Iraq in even more peril.
Of course, the DemoncRATS have an answer for that--they want the President to bring the troops home. In other words, while they want an American defeat, they want it at the hands of the Republican President--to wash themselves of the Vietnam debacle.
Oh, how the ghosts of the past haunt the present.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
just got a note from a friend that Clowneposse has closed down today at noon.
several of you have some "interest" perhaps in this info.
Posting from remote location where I am to be helping with computer repair but am batting zero as it seems this critter is really infected & has all sorts of "blocks" on any spyware or virus checkers. The Norton has been neutralized & Micro trend will not run. I did run ad-aware & cleaned up about 100 items .. but at a stalemate.
Woman stabbed in 2004 attack dies at 24
Ev knew this person; his very best friend in the world broke up with her last month. She committed suicide Friday night. Ev is concerned for his friend and hopes he realizes it is not his fault. She had mega-issues, even before the murder.
On a lighter note, we will be attending the Freedom Salute for Charlie Co. (Ev's unit) next weekend down in Baraboo, WI. There will be a formal ceremony at the UW campus, and a dinner/dance at a resort in the Wisconsin Dells that evening. Looking forward to getting out of town, and to seeing these brave young soldiers get the recognition they deserve!
I hope so too Jane, my earrings have to have gold studs for the same reason as yours, I'm allergic to the other stuff.
Roomey laughts because whenever we go anywhere on a trip, I have my earrings in a special small gold colored pouch, it has a snap and a zipper. Can't be too careful, and it's always in a special zippered pocket in my travelling purse. I'm a Scotswomen, what can I say? I won't even let the airport inspectors open my little pouch, I do it and keep hold of it, but let them see inside.
Well lovie, just keep on keeping on. We look for you and miss you when you don't show up. Hopefully your depression subsides NOW.
Mozie - I pray your house is spotless and your depression is lifting! LOL
I used to clean if I got depressed too and it worked so well that I wasn't down for very long and can say that my first serious bout with depression was after my sister left to go back to CT.
It's difficult to climb back up but know that your friends are rooting for YOU! Love, Peach
Does anyone know how Tony Snow did today on Meet the Press? I can't wade through the entire Live thread and was curious.
One of the altar guild members is in her 80's and takes ballerina classes. She's a real character and I adore her. And she adores her dog and brings him into the sacristy which is quite small, but since our priest is a total dog lover, he doesn't mind. And neither do any of us. Until today.
I tripped over the dog and twisted my ankle. The woman who was helping me today stepped on the dog and he bit her and broke the skin! I came home and went to bed after everything calmed down.
Prayers being said for family and friends.
Oh poor you. What a series of events. I can well empathize with the pain of a twisted ankle. Ouch! I hope everything gets smoothed out.
Tell your son 'I Salute him' and wish him well.
Sheesh, I think what you need in just one more inch of snow!
I was thinking today that no matter what problems I face, they pale in comparison to what you & yours have been through. And yet, here you are every day, bringing us your wisdom and your joyr and your love of life. You are, quite simply, the cat's PJ's, Sir.:-)
Such a sad, unhappy, SHORT life.........
Just what my diet needs.:(
But hey, Lent starts Wednesday.................so Tuesday is Fat Tuesday......................so doesn't that make this Fat Sunday??????
You honor me, may God bless you and yours...
So sad to read about a young life cut short.
I hope the ex doesn't feel responsible. What a horrid situation if he does.
On another matter, I came close to decking my cousin today at his brother's 50th Wedding Anniversary party. Stoopit Cousin informed me that politics took a turn for the worse with Newt's Contrat ON American.
I kept my voice low and controled when I reminded him that Newt didn't promise the country that a Republican congress would do all those things, only that they would come up for a vote and be voted upon. And furthermore the American Public understood this and voted in a Republican Majority so those issues could finally be heard because the Democrats were supressing them.
As luck would have it, someone interupted and I was able to escape before it was necessary for for someone to help me pull my foot out of his 'crevice'.
(((((Mozie)))))
(((((Ev)))))
Congratulations on your upcoming retirement, BTW, and for fighting the good fight so long and so well.
LOL!
at some events you just cant avoid these idjits.
You did well to control yourself. I dont do as well and so go out of my way to NOT be at functions where these things will happen.
good job
