[Soaring Feather]

My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Now the Cardinal

Now a cardinal sings up high on branches, and brough, of it's mercies, singing of their harvest. In cold, or whether it's hot, a hymn of special choice, a songbird by choice, to cheer your hearts by the grosses. Dennis L. Maxberry

The robin is a sign of spring and we have more snow on the ground than we have all winter, about an inch. LOL!

Alas the day is dark and dreary,
it makes the mind very weary,
to hear another report of ice and snow,
to miss the sun and it's glow,
I sit at home and watch TV,
and watching people trying to ski,
their expending energy makes me tired,
maybe some more coffee will get me wired,
too tired to lift my head,
so I think I will go back to bed.

Great, man I have been fighting off the sleepies all day. I think I will have to move to the couch for some coccooning.

I made a pot of coffee
I thought it would do the trick
instead I find that I have one
great big hic up to whip

The snows are heavy on the ground
a big fat snowman I could roll around
I am too lazy to build a man today
I think I'll hit the couch
and pretend that I can play.

The aroma of the coffee wafted through the air,
I stirred from my bed and combed my hair,
I stumbled into the living room and looked around,
and looked for a friendly face but none was found,
the coffee tasted great,
and the driveway was covered and would not wait,
the clouds gave off an aura of snow,
to fall on all of the objects below,
with heavy heart and snow shovel in hand,
went outside to clear the snow and spread sand,
with this task finally completed,
my energy was completely depleted,
as I sat on the couch, I fell asleep after a while,
and dreamed that I was on a tropical isle,
with beaches so clean and water so blue,
and hoping there was something to do,
but the beaches were bare and no one around,
I woke myself up with my snoring sound.

Good night everyone.

As the sun gently slid into the horizon with ease,
it’s glow diminished,
one could assume the day was finished,
the stars awoke and twinkled in the dark sky,
images of constellations appeared to the eye,
the hunter, the belt and others were there,
a sight so beautiful that allows one to stare,
as the night progressed on,
those that were tired began to yawn,
they retired to their beds and sunk their heads into pillows so deep,
and awaited for a long nights restful sleep,
at the dawning of a new day as the sun arose and brightened the sky,
the birds were chirping aloud nearby,
in such a melodic tone they did sing,
made one wonder what other pleasantries would this day bring,
as I traveled through the day til night time is nigh,
I looked at the stars and uttered a prayer and thanked the one on high,
for giving one more day happily,
and also thank all of those that sacrificed their freedom and lives unselfishly,
so that I may live in the “Land of the Free”,
from “Sea To Shining Sea”
