Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.
Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.
Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."
I don't want to post what could possibly happen on Tuesday. But Tuesday may be real interesting.

I agree. HKS is in a pickle about now. Can't remove the baby from the Island (legally), is dangerously close to being kicked out by immigration, and has no clue what awaits him Tuesday at Ft.Lauderdale when he arrives back in Florida.

I agree with you totally and from the beginning didn't believe much of what the Trimspa creep said about HKS, due to their very obvious special friendship. Almost everything the Trimspa guy has said was in support of HKS, even going as far as saying he talked Anna out of marrying HKS, which I didn't believe for one second.

Let's assume that HKS is the most unlucky, totally innocent bystander to an accidental overdose by Daniel and ANS and that he believes he is the biological father of Dannielyn.
If this was your predicament and tragedy, what would you do?
Have a DNA test immediately. Have a GAL appointed until the test is verified. Invite the grandmother to see her and talk to her as one grieving person to another. Apologize for your failure to save both mother and son.
Have your lawyers meet in a neutral location together to sort out the place of burial and funeral service.
Have the court appoint an executor for all of ANS' estate and future legal case with the Marshall estate.
Try like hell to make peace for the sake of the child.

I recall hearing a phone interview with the person who was selling the boat on Greta's show. The guy was talking on the phone to HKS about the boat, when HKS said to hold a minute. He came back to the phone and said something came up and he had to go. (not positive about him being on phone or being there in person with HKS, but learning towards being on the phone with HKS)
Greta asked the guy what time it was. The guy said it was anywhere between 1:00 - 1:15 the day Anna died. IIRC, HKS didn't come right out and tell the guy what was happening. For some reason Greta thought the time was off some because of the time when 911 was called and etc.
She asked the guy if he could have been mistaken about the time and if it was closer to 1:30. I have never heard exactly where HKS was when Anna died. I might be mistaken about HKS being on the phone with the boat guy, but might have instead been at his office....not sure but I do think the boat deal was interrupted??? Was he suppose to be on his way to get the boat?? I hope LE has checked out HKS movements during the day Anna died.
Perhaps someone else remembers this conversation from Greta's show. Hopefully I've got at least some of the facts right. ;) ;)

We Have Had Enough
Enter at your own risk could well be good and appropriate advice for anyone dumb enough to even try to negotiate their way through the mess that has been left behind in the turbulent wake of one Anna Nicole Smith.
We have no desire ‘to touch this one’.
But suffice it to say that we are today quite discomfited by the fact that there are so very many Bahamians who are seemingly ecstatic as they lap up their share of ‘cheap fame’.
This country deserves better.
But even as we make this observation, we are realistic enough to know and understand that some of this kind of stuff was due to happen one fine day due to the fact that The Bahamas – as a get away for the rich and famous – looms large in the minds of hundreds of millions of people around the world.
Anna Nicole Smith is but one of them!
For our part, our interest is with those issues that are strictly speaking news-worthy.
As such, we leave the more titillating aspects of this matter to others in the craft who lean in that direction.
As for new information, it is to be noted that Anna Nicole Smith’s attorney/partner Howard K. Stern has revealed the photos of the actress and Bahamian minister Shane Gibson that appeared in a Nassau newspaper were among items stolen from his home. Stern returned to the Nassau home he shared with his late girlfriend at the weekend - and found it had been ransacked."
We note also that there are indications that Mr. Stern did meet with local police on Monday to file a report into the robbery which he alleges took place in the 24 hours after Smith's death last week.
We are also being told that Stern called the thieves "despicable" for stealing a dead woman's belongings. Among these were innocent photographs of his girlfriend and Gibson embracing.
Stern, we are told, is seething in anger. One published report allegedly quotes him as having said to media, "It's despicable that this could occur... I'm absolutely certain that these pictures are from a stolen (computer) hard drive because I shot them with Anna Nicole's camera. It's such an invasion... These people are the scum of the earth."
For his part, the Hon. D. Shane Gibson insists his relationship with Anna Nicole was nothing like what has been suggested by the local media. The Immigration Minister says, "This is the political season. I guess that somebody was being mischievous and trying to create an impression that did not exist."
There is an old saying to the effect that all is fair in love and war. No matter how popular lore may construe or obfuscate the truth, we are convinced that there must always be limits.
And while we are in this vein as we reference the need for limits, let it be known that we are leaning in that direction where the prescription calls for some brakes to be put on the Anna Nicole Smith feeding frenzy.
More specifically, we would like to see the coming of that day when all concerned would allow the matters that are specifically ‘legal’ to find their way to court. And in those instances where the matter at hand is treated from a ‘political’ angle that all efforts be made to see to it that balance, fairness and a sense of proportionality are allowed.
Yet again, we make the point that at this juncture we are agnostic concerning any of the political merits or demerits concerning the extent to which the Hon. D. Shane Gibson should be criticized for the part he and his family – immediate and extended – has played in the drama involving this American celebrity, Anna Nicole Smith.
We too would like – just for the sake of information – some closure to the question concerning the issue involving paternity of Anna Nicole’s infant daughter who was born in The Bahamas.
In this regard, we are told that one of the men claiming to be the father of Anna Nicole Smith's newborn daughter is mounting a legal attack in The Bahamas. That man is one Larry Birkhead.
We are told that Birkhead has filed a claim, alleging fraud and conspiracy against Anna Nicole, her lawyer-lover, Howard K. Stern, and the Registrar who certified the baby girl's birth certificate.
Quite evidently, this newest development opens the door to force a paternity test in The Bahamas. Birkhead has already filed legal papers in Los Angeles asking a judge to force the issue.
And just as evidently, once the paternity issue is settled, the Anna Nicole Smith Circus will surface somewhere else on God’s green earth. We pray that the place in question is far away from The Bahamas.

The saga of Anna Nicole Smith's sojourn in The Bahamas has placed this country squarely on the global map. Newspapers on every continent have published stories of the former Playboy playmate's death, the death of her son Daniel, the fact that she was a Bahamian resident, and the continuing legal battle by relatives for her body, and custody of her baby daughter.
Added to that, all the major networks in the United States have live crews in New Providence and the coverage is non stop, daily. Every prime time news and entertainment program is consumed with exposing every aspect of her life and The Bahamas is being mentioned incessantly, with familiar landmarks being shown and local people being interviewed on the television.
To put a dollar figure on all the publicity being generated at this time would not be possible. The best that can be said is to call it astronomical.
No doubt it would exceed the Ministry of Tourism's budget for advertising and promotions, and Minister Obie Wilchcombe should be smiling all over his face.
But now that the sight and the name of this country are probably recognizable to the six and a half billion people in the world, what are the other messages they're getting about The Bahamas and what kinds of opinions are being formed about Bahamians?
What is the perception about the Government and how the machinery operates?
What about standards and ethics and morals?
By all accounts it is believed that Immigration Minister Shane Gibson has acted with impropriety in the manner that he befriended Anna Nicole Smith who was seeking special services from the government department that comes under his ministry. The photographs that were published in the Tribune and which were seen around the world places his integrity in doubt and questions his ability to be a rational member of a governing team.
The days following publication of the photos are stretching into a week and although Minister Gibson was interviewed on ZNS TV 13, denying any wrongdoing, Prime Minister Perry Christie has remained ominously silent on the matter. He has spoken absolutely not one word. The Westminster system of government that is practised in The Bahamas subscribes to convention, practices and precedents, which originated in the United Kingdom Parliament and play a significant role in the countries that use the system. The precedents where a minister resigns his cabinet post at even the hint of a scandal has not taken hold in The Bahamas.
Earlier in the week we noted the Prime Minister's silence and invited from him an apology or an explanation with regards the Minister of Immigration and his entire family's involvement with a person whose claim for being here could be questionable. So, at this late date, the only thing for which the Prime Minister could apologize or explain is to say he has accepted Gibson's resignation and that he gave him sufficient time to consider it.
Or, he can say that he had given Gibson sufficient time and because the resignation was not forthcoming, he had fired him.
There is nothing to be gained in saying that it should have happened months ago, at the outset, because it didn't. What is important now is that the prime minister shows the Bahamian people and indeed the world that he is in control of the government.

Dr Joshua Perper's strangely shaped head left side ....?
Does anyone know the reason for this, obvious from a great distance. Does he have a tumor of the left side of his skull?
ANSWER:
I read on an online news blog that he claims he was dropped as a small child by his aunt (accident), landed on his head, resulted in blood clot that thickened his skull. As I said, read it online, don't remember where- who knows if there's an ounce of truth to this. I had the same question, so I thought I'd share with you what I've read...

He was born in 1932 in Bacau, Romania, and moved to Jerusalem at the age of 18 to earn a medical and law degree. He worked at the Allegheny County, Pa., morgue from 1972 to 1994, when he became Broward's medical examiner.
But never has Perper been more popular than since Smith's death.
Despite a slew of interviews, no one -- not even his own staff -- has asked about the unique shape of Perper's head.

There's something wrong about the reporting in that story. Others said that Brigitte Neven was there as King Eric Gibson's "companion."
The nurse who called the bodyguard, "Moe," was his wife - this story at the link would mean that Moe's wife was messing around with Immigration Minister Shane Gibson's father! I really don't think so.
Here's one passage I had copied earlier that might be closer to correct:

Bahamian entertainer 'King' Eric Gibson, Shane Gibson's father, and his longtime companion Brigitte Neven had accompanied the former Playboy playmate, model and reality TV character Anna Nicole Smith and her partner Howard K.
