Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.
Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.
Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."
It's all so "coordinated," for lack of a better word; why did she have to call Stern to come back from the marina before she made the 911 call herself?
Now I heard the ME wants somebody to claim the body because if they don't, they won't be able to have an open casket, which, of course, means no $$$ for pictures for Stern.
"As the plane lifts above the clouds, Howard thinks of those his precious Anna Nicole left behind. In a voice barely heard above the din of the jet engines he tells me, "I want her friends to pray that Anna Nicole is safe, happy and with Daniel."
Thank you! I thought I was going nuts there for a second. Now I want to hear Fox talk more about this boat trip. Because obviously ET has staged a plane trip.
So I guess that Howard has made absolutely NO funeral arrangements for his "fake" wife? 5 days after her death? The Florida ME is asking for someone to come forward and claim her body.
HK$ was too busy on his slow boat to the Bahamas.
The bodyguard was in another room, the nurse was not in the room (I think they said for about 20 minutes...but who knows and why was she NOT in the room??). Where was Howard for the half hour previous to the nurse finding Anna on the floor?? Time to look at the hotel tapes and any tapes of where he went to.

Embatled Immigration Min-ister Shane Gibson last night denied that published photographs of former Playboy playmate Anna Nicole Smith and himself revealed anything improper, and brushed aside speculation that he will resign from Cabinet. Immigration Minister, Shane, yesterday said that the pictures of himself and former Playboy playmate Anna Nicole Smith which circulated in the press were completely "innocent".
"First of all this is the political season and I guess somebody was being mischievous and was trying to create an impression that did not exist," Mr Gibson said. "I didn't have an individual relationship with her, it was a family relationship."
In a live broadcast last night, Mr Gibson and his wife, Jackie Gibson, answered questions from two invited members of the press in an effort to tell the public exactly what type of relationship existed between him and the deceased Anna Nicole Smith.
Mr Gibson said the pictures of him and Anna Nicole were actually photographed by her husband, Howard K. Stern, and claimed that in some omitted photos his family was presesnt, as she was close to everyone in his family.
"She was not a friend of Shane Gibson she was a friend of the Gibson family," Mr Gibson said. "There were time when I thought the family was getting too close. There were times when I told my wife that Anna Nicole was getting too attached to the family, but Jackie said 'No Shane, this is a woman in need.'
Mr Gibson explained that he had been introduced to Ms Smith by a friend prior to her applying for residency, but insisted that nothing out of the "norm" occurred when he accelerated her residency application.
"I presented a number of cases where it is a norm to accelerate applications of individuals applying for residency, as a matter of fact the decision to give permanent residency is not mine. There is a process and there is a policy and the policy guide-line clearly states that permanent residents for economic permanent residences shall be given on an accelerated basis," Mr Gibson said
He said that he "did not remember" receiving any gift from Ms Smith and he "knew nothing" of claims that circulated in the media yesterday that alleged that he received a Rolex watch from Ms Smith. Mr Gibson said when the news first circulated among the public yesterday, he received a number of calls from his colleagues, including the Prime Minister, who gave him "lots of words of encouragement" and let him know that they were thinking of him.
He said that he had not had any conversations with anyone about his resigning and that he could not think of resigning from his position as Cabinet Minister and Member of Parliament as "the people" had elected him, and that he was not elected "to quit".
"I've been very effective in my job so far and as long as they would have me, I will be here," Mr Gibson said. "I'm in office at the pleasure of the people, whenever the people decide that they no longer want me, but I'm there to serve as long as they're willing to have me."
When asked a question as to whether there was any truth about financial backers of the PLP demanding his resignation, Mr Gibson then asked the reporter if the information given to him stemmed from an article in The Tribune daily newspaper.
He said that his first reaction hearing about pictures of himself and Anna Nicole Smith were splashed across the paper yesterday made him say "there goes The Tribune again."
He added that if the pictures had appeared in another news organization he may have "looked at it differently", however he felt that the paper was personally attacking him.
"What I'm saying is that I cannot ever speak to what's in The Tribune. I wouldn't say everything [is untrue] but most of the things I've seen recently [are]," Mr Gibson said. "The Tribune, I stood up to them , as a matter of fact in the House of Assembly I said at the time that I expected to be a target in The Tribune for a number of months, and that is in the record of the House of Assembly and so it was not a surprise."
A Few Unanswered For Minister Gibson
n Minister Gibson did you ever have any sexual relations, at any time, with Anna Nicole Smith?
n Who do you believe is responsible for giving the pictures of you with Ms Smith to The Tribune?
n Minister Gibson do you think it was appropriate to be with Anna Nicole Smith as she imbibed an alcoholic beverage in one of the photos, considering that you and your wife said you were mainly ministering and consoling Anna Nicole Smith in her time of bereavement?
n At any time did you, Minister Gibson, see Ms Smith taking any sort of drugs, whether prescribed or otherwise, similar to when you witnessed her drinking alcoholic beverages in your presence?
n How do you think the Bahamian public should feel about any Cabinet Minister being involved in any type of drug/sex scandal which has placed the nation under intense scrutiny from the international press? Search The Guardian Copyright © 2006 The Nassau Guardian. All rights reserved.
The body has to be decomposing with every day so an open casket may not be an option.
The similarities with Daniel's death and aftermath with his are striking. Daniel wasn't laid to rest until a month after his death.
It would have been detectable and not very smart of Stern to do that. They would find fiber in her airway and damage to her retinas I believe.
Fibers?? From her own pillow?? What would be an extraordinary amount given that she had been ill. Though I'm sure she couldn't sleep on her stomach with those two watermelons!! :-)
Jackie Collins with Anna Nicole Smith
"Though I'm sure she couldn't sleep on her stomach with those two watermelons!!"
There is always the possibility that she was given medication to "dry up" her breast milk. Considering the multiple implants etc., her body may have been rejecting the saline/silicone in favor of natural processes.
Could have caused an infection - but would have appeared closer to the birth. IMHO
Just keep Howard K. away from that kitty!
Not to get everyone in a conspiratorial tizzy around here, but did anyone else's ears perk up when the coroner, Dr Perper, listed "poison" as one of the possibilities last night? Mine did! I hadn't heard anyone else say that word before as it relates to this case. It was probably just a laundry list of things he threw out there, but still...... I was surprised when nobody asked him about it though. Interestingly, the symptoms of poisoning mirror those of the flu in many respects, including fever.
I'm tellin ya! Ha ha!
By the way--where are Anna's doggies?
"By the way--where are Anna's doggies?"
Check eBay - Stern is probably selling them too!
As long as they don't finish up like poor ol' Buddy - the Clintoons pooch.

Wayne Munroe, one of Stern's lawyers, said Stern took the photos at Smith's 39th-birthday party in November.
He explained that Smith didn't get out of her bed for the celebration and greeted everybody with a kiss.
"I notice [Gibson] has his clothes on in every photo," Munroe said. "I see nothing in them."
Stern's lawyers also said the photos were swiped from Smith's Bahamian home by real-estate developer G. Ben Thompson Smith's boyfriend after she broke up with Birkhead who had demanded the return of the luxury home.
They say photographs, drawings, paintings, a computer and Dannielynn's birth certificate were all stolen in a raid orchestrated by Thompson.
Thompson denied the accusations.
By Smith's claiming residency in the Bahamas, her lawyers say, any custody hearing over Dannielynn must take place there.
Munroe also argues that a paternity suit can be fought out only in a Bahamian court because Dannielynn is listed as a resident on her birth certificate.
Under Bahamian law, the court would lock up Dannielynn's likely inheritance from Smith's late husband, oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall II as much as $474 million until she was 18. That would mean the man who is eventually proven to be Dannielynn's daddy wouldn't be able to touch a cent without a court order.
Meanwhile, Bahamian cops already probing the overdose death of Smith's 20-year-old son, Daniel, in September are now interested in the break-in at Smith's house.
The cops questioned Stern about it Monday, as well as about a photograph that surfaced over the weekend showing Smith had a bottle of liquid methadone stashed in her fridge.
Munroe countered that Daniel died from overdosing on methadone tablets not the liquid form.
Ford Shelley, Thompson's son-in-law, said he was the one who found the methadone when he went to secure the house the day after Smith died in Florida.
It's hard to believe this picture is of ANS.
Funny you should say that, I noticed over the years as time went by that some of her better photos are from that time period. Not just from the Playboy magazine cover, I'm also talking about the other photo shoots she had done. Even some of the photo's inside Playboy magazine were more glamourous and sexy, even if she was still clothed in many of them.
Where there's a will, there's an executor. And where there's Anna Nicole Smith's will, there's a trail of contention.
Smith's Los Angeles-based attorney, Ron Rale, appeared on CNN's Larry King Live Monday, saying that Smith had indeed written a will and that both he and Howard K. Stern were named as its executors.
"I'll represent right now that I will be working in a capacity on behalf of her estate...there is a will that was executed by Anna Nicole," he said. "Just to be specific, Howard [K.] Stern is named first as executor. And I'm the second executor."
