Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.
Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.
Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."
Can't picture Anna at a computer. Can picture her laying on a couch while Howard reads to her and tells her which pictures made the money. Were there any magazines in her hospital room??
Could very well turn out that way if this "deal" is made. I hope Larry pays him something to make him go away. And i hope the Feds make him "Go Away".
Why do these people keep having Mo on to tell his story again? Oh wait. Cuz each time he tells it, it's a little different.
I'd be saying: "You B******, Howard." under my breath. Many, many times!!!
At one point there was a firm composed of Stern, Rale and Khavarian. (Don't remember the exact time frame, but it should be circa 1994-1997.)
Kharvarian was one of the witnesses to ANS 2001 will, and was disbarred in CA.
Smith's mom briefly visits granddaughter
Feb 28, 2007 06:48 AM CST
Nassau, Bahamas - Anna Nicole Smith's estranged mother wept Tuesday after making a brief first visit with the 5-month-old daughter of the late former Playboy Playmate.
Virgie Arthur, who had received permission for the visit only hours earlier, could be seen crying and hugging a woman in the back seat of a sports utility vehicle as they left the gated, waterfront home where Smith had lived with her partner, Howard K. Stern.
Earlier, a lawyer for Arthur, Deborah Rose, said Arthur had gotten permission to visit the baby before returning to Florida to attend a hearing in her effort to have her daughter buried in Texas instead of the Bahamas.
Smith, 39, died in a Florida hotel on February 8.
Arthur was in the Bahamas to attend court hearings in her bid to gain custody of Smith's daughter, Dannielynn Hope Marshall Stern, from Stern, who is listed on the birth certificate as the father.
On Monday, one of the mother's other lawyers, John O'Quinn, said Stern had denied her permission to visit the infant.
Larry Birkhead, a former Smith boyfriend who claims he is Dannielynn's father and is also seeking custody, met the baby for the first time Sunday night, the syndicated television show "The Insider" reported.
Rose and Arthur were in court Tuesday for a brief hearing, but the lawyer said it was only for a "small technical procedure." The lawyer said permission for the visit with Dannielynn did not come from the court, but she declined to say who authorized it.
"She's in mourning having lost her daughter and grandson both within the last five months," Rose said. Smith's son, Daniel, died while visiting her last year three days after she gave birth to Dannielynn.
"Our objective is really to assist our client in having access to her granddaughter and foremost to ensure the best interests and welfare of the child are secured."
Arthur, who appealed a decision to bring her daughter's body to the Bahamas for burial, still wants her interred in her native Texas, her attorney said.
"That's her daughter, and that's family," Rose said.
The dispute over where to bury Smith's body has dragged on for more than two weeks since Smith died.
Stern wants her buried in a Nassau cemetery beside the unmarked grave of her son.
An appeals court was set to hear arguments Wednesday about whether Smith should be buried in the Bahamas or Texas.
In filings Tuesday with the Florida 4th District Court of Appeal, attorneys for Smith's partner and her infant daughter claimed Smith's estranged mother was trying to "place her in death where she never wanted to be in life" - Texas.
The three judges assigned to the case have not said when they will rule.

Opri didn't seem at all upset at that press conference. She choked back a little when she said Larry would be seeing his baby soon. But other than that she was almost gleeful.
Remember, he's close to that doctor and told us that he knew of several of her drugs and facilitated any addiction. That video where he uttered "mushroom trip" is a nice tip off to his druggie knowledge. How many of US knew what a mushroom trip was???
Even after his wife is murdered he still defends murderers....

Woner if being disbarred has crossed HKS' mind?
Wonder what the USUAL procedure is for a USA citizen dying on foreign soil.
Anyone have a live steam link for this?
Why are all these defense lawyers such sleazebags. The only one of them i'd even consider dating (if i weren't married) would be Feiger. At least he seems to have some sort of a moral compass, he seems to pick his cases based on something other than money, and when he speaks it doesn't sound like BS, and he's not really ugly, not handsome, just kinda odd looking.
OK i'm ready for the anti-Feigers to set me straight.
Out here in Cali when a Filipino dies they just put the body on a plane and bring him home. My sister in laws father died here and within 2 days they were off to the Philippines.
KOOROS JAMES KHAVARIAN [#171550], 35, of Valley Village was suspended for one year, stayed, placed on probation for two years with a 30-day actual suspension and was ordered to take the MPRE. The order took effect Aug. 1, 2001.

TMZ.com posted a document that it said was the prescription order issued by Kapoor for Chase to Key Pharmacy in Valley Village. The Web site also posted a document that it claimed was the air bill from Key Pharmacy to Vicky Marshall in the Bahamas.

As i said a few days ago, being disbarred should be the least of his worries at this point.

Good question. Nothing is USUAL about this case.
I'm sorry to hear of your friend's passing. I don't blame you for not making the trip with your son for the memorial service. It certainly sounds too dangerous.
Yes, it was interesting to watch HKS on the stand sqirming...being very careful what he said in relation to the "father" question.
