Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.
Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.
Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."
but but but I thought 40 was the new 20?
Don't I wish

So, is 60 the new 40?
I've said my piece....that I would fight like Virgie for my daughter and grandchild. But if Birkhead is the father, he has some rights, too. It's called a dilemma.
>>Let's wait and see. I'm betting Virgie would be glad to let Dannielynn be raised by Larry<<
That's not what her attorney just said on Court Tv. Do you think he's lying? I don't!
I don't know either,
but the Sugar Pie stuff is,
it's even mentioned
in the death notice
from Britain's Economist,
even the Prozac:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Prozac and Sugar Pie
The case of Marshall v Marshall,, a name suitably Dickensian, started almost as soon as Marshall died in 1995. It had been a brief, strange marriage, with Ms Smith hardly ever at home. Each evening she would telephone him after seven, his bedtime; he called her his sleeping pill. Outsiders imagined that she was simply waiting for his money. But when his will was read, he had left her nothing.
She was sure this was wrong. While alive, he had given her cars, a little ranch and $50,000 a month; orally, she claimed, he had also promised her half of his estate of $1.6 billion. Without it, she was bankrupt. Over a decade various courts found for her, then against her. In 2004 an appeals court ruled that Ms Smith should get nothing. But in 2006 the Supreme Court, no less, said she could go on fighting.
By then her life revolved round the case. She told Larry King she did nothing else, and her reality TV show, which ran from 2002 to 2004, suggested the same. The show followed her to the dentist and to the lingerie shop; trailed Bobby Trendy, her decorator, as he continually redesigned her bedroom; and watched as she gave Prozac to her poodle, the oversexed Sugar Pie. Her lawyer, Howard Stern, was so constantly in the frame that in 2006 she married him, on the catamaran Margaritaville off the Bahamas, before tumbling fetchingly in her white veil into the surf.
Americans watched and enjoyed it all; and were also aware, like gawkers driving past the scene of an accident, that they might at any moment witness something awful. ...
Anna Nicole Smith, a peculiarly modern celebrity, died on February 8th, aged 39, Feb 15th 2007 From The Economist print edition
Yeah, everyone was asking "where is HKS" all night. His sister Bonnie said she got there ASAP from CA and he was catatonic at the hotel.
ET said they were trying to find him, but someone in his entourage said he was heavily sedated. Then we heard he had been with the Seminole Police answering questions.
Then, he was on an ET plane within 24 hours to The Bahamas, so he was catatonic, heavily sedated, talking with police and sequestered with friends, except when he was on the ET plane. There!
My friend died mysteriously at the age of 39. His death certificate lists Sudden Cardiac Death as the Cause of Death but there is a 2nd or underlying cause listed (atherosclerosis). The 2nd cause is a contributing factor to the cause of death. That's how it works in general so far as I know.
her = here
It's not to his advantage to say he was gone 2 hours, so that's why I'm guessing it's true and he couldn't wiggle out of it.
Brigitte was there 1-1/2 hours waiting in the suite, so that's a major portion of it.
I loved my mother and did everything I could for her until the day she died, at the age of 91. However, I would NOT have wanted her to raise any one of my children. In fact, my kids once laughed and said to me, "We just don't understand how you're so normal having been raised by grandma." :)

see post 17662 Sacajaweau is correct
ANS wanted Thompson to be the daddy because he had $$$ and HKS did not.
Huh??
I can see the logic in O'Q saying this. There is a custody hearing coming up in the Bahamas. If the Bahamian court thinks Vergie only wants custody to turn Dannilynn over to LB, she's going to lose. At least, that's the way I see it. She already said, somewhere, that she wanted Dannilynns bio daddy to raise her.
I think she might do the same with ANS body if she wins on the appeal. Bury her in the Bahamas, but with herself in control of the service. Not some prissy friend of Judge Cry Baby.
Half the mystery in a criminal case (if this is one) is deciphering what the attorneys are *really* saying.
I just know Dannielynn going to grow up with a huge hole in her heard from not knowing her mother. The problem will be ten-fold if she is raised without her father. Little girls, in particular, really really need their daddy for self-esteem, especially when they start dating.
ANS herself is a good example, her father left when she was two and she never got over it... my youngest sister was 18 months old when our parents split up, she is the most messed up "mentally" and "emotionally" of all three of us, she has basically blanked out her entire childhood.
You cannot bounce kids around like that, they are not as resiliant as people like to think in this throw-away society.
Barth will demand more time. LOL
You didn't read my whole post with that in it?
That is the $64,000 question and has never been cleared up. There was a rumor that surfaced saying Dannielynn was there and he spirited her back to the Bahamas ASAP.
I saw the interview with the dock guy. Howard had just arrived. He was 40 feet from his car. The interviewer demonstrated the scurry to the car and said it was 5 miles to the hotel....ETA....20 minutes max.
agree. That one interview has ticked me off as much as anything I've seen in the past three weeks... next to having to listen to Barth and see HKS testify with his fake tears.
