Anna Nicole Smith has died according to ABC News

Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.

Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.

Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."

Maybe the judge made that "no paternity test" ruling too early in the hearing. It didn't take long for everyone to realize that Birkhead was most likely the father.

Once Seidlin got an inkling of that he should've put his ego on the shelf and changed that ruling. I don't know how long it takes to do a DNA test. But i don't think it takes as long as some say.

Dr. Perper remember called the judge and said "her body has to be viewed by Sat because she's decomposing fast". Once the ruling went down in favor of the Bahaman burial all of a sudden Perper says "she looks good". So maybe there was time for a DNA test but because Perper made things sound so urgent urgent urgent, the judge passed on the paternity finding.

It got me wondering how many people have been using this as well as Paxil for Weight control since Fen-Fen was shown to cause heart problems? I know at least one person prescribed Paxil for weight control... I believe why they may work is they work on the cortisol in the body and elevated cortisol is one thing that can cause weight gain and inability to lose (weight).

Bahama Law: Howard Is Baby's Legal Guardian

[6:26pm] With the sudden death of Anna Nicole Smith, Howard K. Stern has already assumed the title of "legal guardian" of Anna Nicole Smith's 5-month-old daughter Danielynn, according to the laws of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas.

The law states, "On the death of the mother of a child, the father, if surviving, shall, subject to the provision of this Act, be guardian of the child, either alone or jointly with any guardian appointed by the mother. "

Smith named Stern as the father on Danielynn's Bahamian birth certificate. Stern, who appeared on "Larry King Live" and proclaimed that he was the father, is in a war of words with Larry Birkhead, Anna Nicole's former boyfriend who claims he's the daddy. Birkhead has filed legal papers in Los Angeles, asking a judge to order a paternity test.

I don't believe Florida is going to carry the day. HKS does still have his ANS-paid-for Apartment in Santa Monica, so is a resident of California. They need to go back there ASAP and cover their bases and draw him into this thing right away to get the babies DNA.

I completely agree. I saw Virgie's lawyer, "Houston" making this argument. Apparently, that is her appellate argument as well. "Houston" asked Greta in what other case if a single mom died leaving behind an infant, and the single mom's parents arrived to claim their daughter's body would a court appoint a GAL to determine whether the parents should receive the body of their daughter or not?

Everything has been done backwards. The paternity of DL is key. She shouldn't need a GAL. Could LB and Virgie agree on CA though?

In every picture or video of HKS he reminds me of how Scott Peterson looked. He looks down and has to strain to look someone in the eye. And his voice sounds just like Scott's did. The sadness is very forced.

Howard would have lost "everything and all Power if Daniel reached his 21st birthday. That job of executor was limited to holding the money in trust for Daniel. Howard would be totally out of the picture on Daniel's birthday.

Didn't the will state that Daniel would get part at 21, part at 30, then the rest at the age of 35? Howard would have been in control for many years. I wonder if there were any life insurance policies.

Wasn't signed/certified in the presence of the Bahamian Registrar so under Bahamian law isn't a legal Birth Certificate. Some of us suspect this may be why Shelley took the Birth Certificate from the house.

I just learned reviewing honors biology with my son that unattached ear lobes are a dominant - not recessive - trait, so that means that one of the parents would have to have had detached earlobes! It HAS to be LB! Anybody know if the prince has detached earlobes? Uh oh. LOL

He arrived thinking it was a joke and found out it was a top FBI lie detector expert who was going to do it and literally ran. The expert in the post said the only other possibility is J. I think Dr. Perper's conduct has been extremely unprofessional. Why would he call in during trial time? Why would the judge take his call in open court? It did put undue pressure on everyone. Crazy! Anyway, wasn't Daniel's body waiting to be buried for 40 days? Worse things have happened. I think we could have waited for the paternity results.

Birkhead's lawyer in the Bahama's is saying what I have in bold and unlined below did not happen. Because this did not happen then Stern's name cannot legally be on the birth certificate. In otherwords the birth certificate is VOIDED.

14. In the case of the birth of an illegitimate child- Registration of illegitimate child.

(a)no person shall as father of such child be required to give information under this Act concerning such birth;
(b)a registrar or assistant registrar shall not enter in any register the name of any person as father of such child unless at the joint request of the mother and the person acknowledging himself to be the father, such request taking the form of a written declaration witnessed by the registrar, or an assistant registrar, or justice of the peace or a notary public.

I agree. If it's true and he's now been served in the CA paternity action, will they take action if he is in contempt of court? Will the CA bar look into possible ethics and professional code violations in his handling of ANS's legal affairs? I hope so.

Anyway, the easiest thing is for the court in the Bahamas to order it and get it done already. Tomorrow should be an interesting day.

Wow, if HKS's presumed paternity status on the BC is invalid this could mean that Virgie gets custody of DL pending the paternity test showing LB to be the father. The test has to be done tomorrow.
