Maybe the judge made that "no paternity test" ruling too early in the hearing. It didn't take long for everyone to realize that Birkhead was most likely the father.

Once Seidlin got an inkling of that he should've put his ego on the shelf and changed that ruling. I don't know how long it takes to do a DNA test. But i don't think it takes as long as some say.

Dr. Perper remember called the judge and said "her body has to be viewed by Sat because she's decomposing fast". Once the ruling went down in favor of the Bahaman burial all of a sudden Perper says "she looks good". So maybe there was time for a DNA test but because Perper made things sound so urgent urgent urgent, the judge passed on the paternity finding.

I think Dr. Perper's conduct has been extremely unprofessional. Why would he call in during trial time? Why would the judge take his call in open court? It did put undue pressure on everyone. Crazy! Anyway, wasn't Daniel's body waiting to be buried for 40 days? Worse things have happened. I think we could have waited for the paternity results.

I believe the results are completed in a lab within 24 hours. When I googled, all I found were as follows...labs telling consumers when they will receive results by mail.

We guarantee to have the results ready in 5 working days from receipt of samples. A shorter turnaround time of 3 working days or less can be arranged for an additional charge.

Here's something Larry should have done while he accompanied her on doctor's visits:

New technology NON-Invasive Prenatal Paternity testing
Scientific tests can now determine paternity at 12 weeks into a pregnancy using non-invasive testing methods in many cases.

This involves a simple blood sample taken from the pregnant woman's arm. The pregnant female's blood carries the fetus' genetic material which can be compared to the DNA of the alleged father.
