Anna Nicole Smith has died according to ABC News

Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.

Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.

Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."

Bahama law will recognize him as the father until it is proven otherwise. The TRUE father has the rights to the child unless he is considered "unfit". That is not the case since Anna lived with Larry and she had lost a baby by him before AND there is NO doubt that he was concerned with her drug use.

Her relationship with Larry WAS the strongest of any relationship she had. Howard played Anna AND Larry to the hilt. I'm waiting for her to send a bolt of lightening in Howard's direction. It'll come!!

As far as Howard's "excellent????) relationship with Daniel....That's called Kiss a** in our language. Nearing 21, he probably talked to Daniel a bit about Anna's money. Please don't ever tell me he didn't know about the will...He had to because of the Marshall matter AND it came out of his firm.

Remember back...Howard said when the place was robbed (sorta because actually Howard was trespassing and a landlord can remove possessions), all the important legal documents were stolen. What was the date of the robbery?? Is that why he needed a copy faxed to him????

I watched the re-run of when they called Billie Smith yesterday. I didn't pay as much attention to Barth's actions because I was trying to listen to Billie yesterday, but in the re-run she was almost comical in her actions...

I had watched Anna's reality show a few times...amusing, but my mouth was dropping open. I spent the whole time wondering if she was on drugs. Now I know!

There was one episode where she was having her bedroom re-decorated. Bobby did it, and it was a TA-DA!!...type of thing when it was finished. It was the ugliest, gaudiest decor I have ever seen! If I could remember, the walls were pink or red material....looked like a six year old did it. I think there were feathers glued on it, too. It appeared as if it might have cost $10.00 for supplies...on sale at a cheap craft store.

In CA she had her own doctors (like Dr. FeelGood). In Florida she had no personal doctors to run interference if she went to the hospital drug addicted.

This is ridiculous - how can a Fla court not have jurisdiction of a DNA sample it holds in its possession and how can it refuse to follow a California request? Weird. The judge was annoying.

I agree. Opri's point is that the Fla court has all the authority to order ANS's DNA smaple be turned over to their DNA expert. Why would a Bahamian court have more authority to order Dr. Perper to turn it over? That is ridiculous.

The other part -- compelling DL's DNA sample be taken -- is not as clear cut. Although, I think since LB properly filed his paternity action in CA before ANS absconded with his child (albeit in utero) to thwart the court's jurisdiction, then the CA order should be enforceable. Fla should be able to give that CA order full faith and credit pursuant to the UCCJA.

Why should we allow people to abscond with children (even in utero) and thwart court jurisdction in this way? That would be rewarding unclean hands and flies in the face of the principles on which our system is based.

Control. With ANS drugged HKS could control her money, where they went, where they lived, who their "friends" were, what appearances she made, who she talked to, who she didn't talk to... Also, addicts love only one thing and that is whatever they are addicted to. When they get their substance of choice all they can think about is getting their next fix. HKS controlled the drugs so ANS had to do what he wanted in order to keep getting her fixes. Sad but true.

This is so true. If ANS wasn't an addict she would not have NEEDED HKS at all. There are far more able and charming lawyers, managers, lovers, bestfriends etc.. But not too many are willing to be your drug pusher and pimp.

Maybe all of those people were previously ordered by Stern not to call 911 unless Stern told them to do so. Sounds plausible to me. A police investigagtion could sort this all out.

Why? It's not like anyone didn't know she was an addict. Christ, was she even straight on any of her shows? I was channel surfing one night, came upon her show. Watched about 2 minutes of it. She was whacked. I'm thinking to myself. Why does she even have a show? And why would anyone watch it? And why would anyone demean themselves like that? Desperation?

She basically made herself a laughing stock. Nobody does that intentionally. Unless comedy is your gig. I only seen a few minutes of the show, and that was enough. I feel sorry that her son had to witness that crap, day in and day out.

And as callous as this may sound. I am glad she won't be able to corrupt and use her daughter, like she did her son.

That was another issue she failed to argue with the judge this morning. The judge said the child lives in the Bahamas and is a citizen of the Bahamas. Only half true and Opri should have pointed it out: Dannielynn is not a citizen because ANS was not a citizen. ANS may not have even been a legal resident since she was not the owner of the home there....

ergo, Dannielynn is an American Citizen being held in the Bahamas so US Jurisprudence cannot get their hands on her DNA.
