Yeah, I've heard the same bulls!t from Cowboys fans about Warren Moon and Earl Campbell not belonging in the Hall of Fame because they never won a championship. What rubbish.
The greatest players lead their teams to championships. Tom Brady is a far, far greater player than that punk LT will ever be.
Seriously, San Diego's wisest decision would be to get rid of him, he's always going to come up short if the goal is the Superbowl. He can take a team far, but he just doesn't have it at the pressure level of the playoffs. He's had plenty of chances.
I said that the best shot San Diego had to win the game today was to ensure that Chokenheimer was nowhere near the stadium. Oops...
Today was the 1st time I ever saw him play. He's really good. Too bad he's on a losing team.
I just had a panic moment. The folks here want to watch ESPNews but I was recording 24. I told them I'd shoot everyone of them if they touched 24 but I was able to find a way so they could watch what they wanted and I could keep recording.
But I've been saying this all year and I'll say it again: San Diego has made a big mistake by not having any plays that throw the ball deeper down the field to Tomlinson. He's the fastest player on our team in the 40 yard dash, and you have to have plays to throw deep to a guy like that. Bill Walsh used to throw deep to Ricky Waters & Carl Monroe and burned defenses routinely. Schottenheimer makes the game too difficult for his teams by not utilizing all his talent to make big plays. So he just doesn't score enough points in the playoffs. This is kind of tough, but if I was AJ Smith I'd cut Eric Parker and fire Marty, then make Wade Phillips the head coach. Parker is one of those pre-season stars who drops too many passes in the big games. I was afraid this would happen--we'd get in a fairly high scoring game and not get enough points because of Marty and Belechek's defense.
I think the Pats, Colts, and Chargers are about equal and the Pats just outplayed us today. Pats or Colts should win the Super Bowl.
And the Charger fans I talked to this week assured me the curse didn't exist anymore.
That was a damn good team they beat. After Brady's second pick, I had all but given up on it.
I never said anyone didn't belong in the HOF. I said LT was great. But he IS overrated. He is not the greatest running back in NFL history, as many are making him out to be.
LOL....don't shoot!!
That was a much better team than the one we'll be facing next week.
Chock-enhemmer is on ESPN News now.....
Blasphemy!!!! God I love Troy Brown.
They knew I wasn't bleeping kidding either.
Should read...
Choke- enheimmer...
oppsssss
Marty started with the bad calls almost right out of the gate. Going for it on 4th and 11 in the first quarter? When you're set up for a 48-yard field goal with one of the better kickers in the NFL? Made no sense.
Ah.....and Peyton will be on next week with the same expression.
That was awful. It made him look worse when Gostkowski nailed one on the other side of the field.
It's not a curse. Marty just needed to sit down with Bill Walsh and Don Coryell for a weekend and learn how to really ATTACK a defense all out all game long the way Walsh and Coryell did it. That third screen pass to LT that was picked off should have been a deep route that looks like another short pass but then LT turns it up field deep. Marty is just not an outstanding offensive coach and he could only win the Super Bowl with a truly great defense or just a weak year in the entire league.
