Remote detection satellites are used by the intelligence branch of the military to conduct mind control exercises in the theater of war. All this technology is dependent upon the higher branches of particle physics and quantum mechanics. The array of satellites safe in deep space cover the entire earth making the mind control intelligence program widely successful. Be amazed as you view this military program break out of the box. Go to the following web site that shows a real-time mind control zombie being manipulated by satellite and the military. www.MindControlUSA.com

More like extracting a postulate from their posterior. Pleonastic pomposity aside, their plenary prognosi are more akin to partisan prevarication.

Your mother lived in Brainerd?!?

Isn't that the headquarters for the Mind Control Zombie Command?

She did. I don’t think she was a part of that...if she was, she took her secret life with her when she moved... ;o]

Well, "HAPPY NEW YEAR!" from the world's largest outdoor lunatic asylum!

I've got in-laws at the house who needed to see San Francisco, so I took them around the city, yesterday; I figured it was a good excuse for me to experiment with the digital camera (Nikon CoolPix 5600). I was especially interested in seeing what the camera could do in low light if I tweaked with the Exposure Compensation.

Here's a trio of my best shots (I think). These were all taken after 7:00pm (sunset was at 5:00pm) WITHOUT the aid of a tripod. For those who don't recognize it, the building is The Legion of Honor Museum. The shot of the Golden Gate has no exposure compensation. The lighter of the two LoHM shots has exposure compensation of +2.0, and the darker has +0.3 compensation.

If you want to see any of these larger, click on the picture, then, on the page that appears, click on the small magnifying glass icon at the top left of the image.

Enjoy!

I like the bridge shot!

But I liked the Bay Area. We spent three years in Fremont, when Igor was employed by Ford Aerospace, in Palo Alto.

Yeah, the Bay Area’s not horrible, but the kook fringe is VERY evident, here; much more so than in “normal” parts of the country.

BTW: If you click on one of my pictures, on the right side of the page that comes up, there’s a box that shows what flickr calls my “photostream”. You can click the right and left arrows below the image in that box to scroll through stuff I’ve uploaded. There’s a shot of the Grand Canyon in there that I think you’ll just LOVE.

Nice shots!

While on the way to a New Year's party yesterday afternoon, I intended to take some photos for further experiments with some HDR (High Dynamic Range) software, but a problem I'd had last summer with the Nikon D70 came back; it sets up for a shot just fine, but then displays "Err" and doesn't take the picture. Last time it started working again when it was taken to the repair shop; hopefully this time it will remain broken.

You’re right! I love it! Of course, there is very little about the Grand Canyon and the surrounding areas that I don’t like.

I’m partial to red dirt, cedar trees and sage brush.

Thanks!

With the Coolpix, since it’s set up as a point-and-shoot camera with added controls, there are things like ISO Speed that get determined by selections you make that DON’T refer directly to ISO Speed. As it runs out (reading the jpg file properties) the camera was set to ISO-200 speed when these shots were taken. Had I set it for night photography, perhaps it would have been ISO-400. Unless I can find a “cheat sheet” somewhere, more experimenting will be required.

Here’s hoping your camera stays on the fritz long enough for a service tech to understand that there’s an issue. I HATE when something’s not working, and I can’t figure it out, but the second I get the problem in front of an expert pair of eyes it vanishes, and the repair guy gives me “the look”.

Your camera sounds a lot like my Canon S3-IS (bought when the D70 first went on the fritz). It’s a pretty good camera, for all it’s not an SLR, and after installing the “hack” that allows one to shoot in RAW mode I’m really liking it.
