I have yet to meet a fan of a school who doesnt think ESPN has it out for them. They seem to be equal oppurtunity bashers, except when it comes to Notre Dame and USC, they can do no wrong.
Believe me, I know the entire inside story about Clarett. Behind the scene things, you wouldn't believe.
And in my opinion, Corso does hate the Buckeyes. I'm sure 9 out of 10 Buckeye fans would agree.
Miami is another school that can do no wrong in ESPN's eyes also...
Hell if Ohio State or anyone else had a riot on the field like Miami did, they would replay it at every chance during the bowl game.
Yet with Miami, they don't seem to think it's relevant.
I agree about ND, but eventually ND will fade away again like it did in the 90s....
At least they aren't doing that "best ever" crap this year. That was hilarious last year with USC and then when Texas won the game, ESPN looked well like ESPN looks (at least to me)....
I kinda wish Fox would get into the College Football stuff a bit more so Herbie and Spielman could do that instead. Those two are the only real reasons I watch ESPN anymore.
I know a few things....
I don't think Corso does at all. He and Herbie are pretty tight off-camera.
Corso used to coach at Indiana and had an agreement with Woody during a game. When Indiana scored first, Woody allowed the game to be paused so that Corso and his team could line up for a team photo in front of the scoreboard reading Indiana 7 - Ohio State 0...
Ohio State went on to win by 40 some points I think....
Never heard that story about Corso before, just know how obnoxious he is when it comes to my Buckeyes. He virtually NEVER picks us to win any of the big ones.
Instead of being so inappropriate about his pick during the Buckeye/UM game, he could have said, "this is one Bo and Woody will be watching together", or something similar.
All that said, "GO BUCKS!"
Heres something interesting. In the history of Div 1 football there has been only 4 unanimous champions, can you name them?
Hint, 1 school has two of the 4.
Define Unanimous....
I just ignored it...
I knew it was picking Michigan the moment I'd heard that Bo had died.
I seem to remember Corso picking Ohio State before the Penn STate and Texas games in 2005 and OSU lost both of them.
I'm just as glad that he WON'T pick Ohio State :) He's a curse :)
Nevermind it was just unsubstantiated fan-mail, but at NCAA.ORG I count more than four.
Unanimous means every organization picks you and nobody else.
Miami pulls it out with that pick...looks like it was a pretty good game.
oh ok...
hmmmmm....
Ohio State
Army
Notre Dame??
No Miami, Nebraska Twice and last years Texas. But NCAA.org lists more.
I'm sure Larry Coker is a nice guy and chicks dig him, but what is it about southern Floria? The Hurricanes, the Dolphins, the 97 and 03 Marlins, the prosecuting attorneys of Palm Beach County...there must be something in the Everglades.
Your acting like VT had played a real team this year. Thats why they play 4 quarters!
Go Dawgs!
Yeah, but those were decided after the fact, I mean in 1936 and many of those titles occurred when there was just a handful of football teams.
I'm even more proud not to have watched one second of that awful turf. Saw it once this year....had to turn the dang tv off..........
That being said
Now it begins.......
No early morning pinging?
Nebraska 7 Aub 0
War Herbie Husker!
