I know the uniforms are absolutely hideous but is it really necessary to take the tackiness to the next level by having flames painted on your helmets?

Let me guess. The 2007 helmets will be pinstriped, have some flashing LED lights added and top it all off with a plastic whale-tail wing in the back that is deemed by Phil Knight to cut down on drag.

Uniforms like these make me so glad that the OSU's, Penn State's, Michigan's, Alabama's, etc. have never veered from their classic, instantly recognizable and timeless uniform designs.

Big XII North has gone through a downturn but Nebraska is making its way back and watch Iowa State start to come on after hiring Texas' Def. Coordinator. Colorado and Kansas St. may also rebound after transition years.

Sweet! I've got my USF shirt on today! (Yes, I'm an FSU fan, but I graduated from USF back BEFORE they had a FB team. I even went to the Meinike Bowl last year.)

Since I brought up the Meinike Bowl, I'm going again this year. I think Navy/BC will be a better game than you're predicting. Plus, I paid the bucks for some premium seats...I hope it's sunny.

I will say that the line has adjusted a bit to Rice by -4.5, so if you want that line, be my guest everyone....

I have no idea where Troy College or the University of Troy hails from.

Rice is across town from me, so I'd be pulling for them if I watched this game, which I won't.

I'm ready for Bowl season to REALLY begin.

Anyone who's ever seen them run the triple option will be impressed.

I saw in the Poinsettia Bowl last year and the Emerald Bowl the year before that.

When Navy gets that option going, it's very hard to stop.
