The Hobbit Hole XXXII - Sweet is the sound of falling rain
The Freeper Hobbit Hole Blog ^ | December 1, 2006

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

SNOW-klahoma, Oy Vey!

ROTFL!! That's very clever, but I could not read it without singing it!

I know what you mean! I love the theme "Oklahoma!" They always play it (several times) at any OSU event...also at the commencements we went to, the one with W...

It's just a fun tune.

Same here...and I don't own any of 'em, and my durned roommate went and got married and took all the books with her to Iowa...

Maybe I'll pick up one a month until July.

Yeah, and I have the cool English versions too!

Find a used bookstore, they all have multiple copies of the previous books cheap.

I have yet to find a good bookstore...haven't been looking hard enough, I think. There are lots of paperback places, but I've heard tell there's a decent regular used bookstore down town. It's just that it's...down town. *shudder*

"Stealth Pippin Hobbit" fits nicely in the keywords.

Martin Marietta just called Steve! For a position in San Antonio!

(They said he didn't qualify for the one north of Dallas.)

My head is spinning.

I had been praying this morning a "thy will be done" prayer, you know...because you know how much I love Oklahoma, but sometimes change is a good thing.

I'm frustrated with a lady that is taking advantage of me here...she keeps asking me to help her...do things for her. And at first it was an honor, you know? I was happy to help her. People have often helped me.

But she keeps asking me to do more and more and more and it has become endless! Yesterday she asked me to do something that was just wrong. It was a form of stealing and I told her no.

So this morning, thinking of this...you know, sometimes change is a good thing.

And no matter what I wouldn't loose my HH friendships!
