The Hobbit Hole XXXII - Sweet is the sound of falling rain
The Freeper Hobbit Hole Blog ^ | December 1, 2006

Posted on 12/01/2006 12:55:15 PM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Heh...the cafe downstairs snips the horoscope out of the paper every day, and though of course I don't put any stock in that stuff, they're still fun to read and ridicule.

The other day, yours was (I found it again...) "It seems you've been dubbed the patron saint of difficult people, as these types are drawn to you. It's because you're better equipped to deal with the incorrigible and misunderstood."

Uh-huh...

ROFLOL!! I guess she had to do something extra for confession to make up for that, huh Suzi?

For lying to the cop about the dog? I'd say it was just a Venial Sin. She wasn't doing anything evil that she was lying about, just trying to get herself out of an awkward situation. She mighta got an extra Our Father, or a Hail Mary or two for Penance. ;o)

I really wasn't though! It's kinda like Bilbo's road outside his door!

"It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out of your door," "You step into the Road, and if you don't keep your feet, there is no knowing where you might be swept off to."

I wonder where it might sweep me next, even now...you know?!

Heh he!

It's a pesky Road.

Logging off. Steve went to get a haircut, but should be home soon and I should at least look like I'm fixin' some sort of supper! Heh heh!

Cool! Staying in Tulsa would be ideal, unless you just want to move.

No, I don't know that you have. Why, isn't it a fine piece of work crafted delicately by our esteemed and brainy rulers?

Your Dominant Intelligence is Musical Intelligence
Every part of your life has a beat, and you're often tapping your fingers or toes.
You enjoy sounds of all types, but you also find sound can distract you at the wrong time.
You are probably a gifted musician of some sort - even if you haven't realized it.
Also a music lover, you tend to appreciate artists of all kinds.

You would make a great musician, disc jockey, singer, or composer.

Your Dominant Intelligence is Spatial Intelligence
You've got a good sense of space and how the world around you looks.
You can close your eyes and "see" images. You have innate artistic talent.
An eye for color and shapes, you're also a natural designer.
Since you think in pictures, visual aids and demonstartions help you learn best.

You would make a good navigator, sculptor, visual artist, inventor, architect, interior designer, or engineer.
