Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
Heh... you check yourself out, huh?
Heh...I admit, for a second I was thinking, "You don't have mirrors at home?"
But yeah, I like those check-outs, most of the time. Still kind of miss the clerks at the grocery back home who knew me and who always had the latest local news, though. ;-) But when I'm in a hurry, it's great to be able to just slide on through with my stuff.
Heh! You know what I mean!
;-)
I'm currently trying to find a lime pie recipe using jello, cream cheese, and cool whip.
Key Lime Pie
1 pkg of Cream Cheese
1 pkg of lime Jello
1 cup hot water
1/3 cup lime juice
1 container of Cool Whip Free
Soften the cream cheese and stir until smooth. Dissolve jello in the hot water, then slowly add to the cream cheese.
Whip until smooth with hand mixer. Add lime juice. Fold in Cool Whip.
Refrigerate until a little thicker. Stir. Pour into pie shell. Chill until set.
Cool whip folding?
Hmmm...

Evenin' folkses...
Rose and I are most familiar with him as the geeky physics professor Larry on "Numbers". He had to leave that show to film "24"; on "Numbers" they explained the character's absence by having him go off to prepare for a flight on the space shuttle!
Evening. Another confusing kind of day. *sigh*
You'd think by now I'd stop being confused by every little detail at work. It's coming up on a year. And it ticks me off.
What is that show about, anyhow? I've seen references to it, but never really understood.
Sweet boat
The Pianer werks good.
The Key lime pie recipe I use (or more properly, my wife uses) involves key lime juice, sweetened condensed milk and 6 egg yolks. Plus a pie crust of course. when the thing is made, top with whipped cream, and even strawberries. I've had key lime trees in my back yard at various times in my life.
Whoops, just read back a couple posts and noticed the key lime pie recipe requested jello and cool whip. My bad.
I'd still like to see your recipe...
I just stumbled upon this piece of music, "Fur Elise", while searching for a ring tone for my new cell phone. It is hauntingly beautiful. I guess it would be well known to you.
It can be listened to by clicking on the rose on this page
http://www.superopera.com/mp3/paraelisa/paraelisa.htm
Wikepedia says that garbage trucks in Taiwan and Iran play it from loudspeakers, which is bizarre. I'm putting it on my cell phone, though.
Hi Rosie, I'll check on the exact recipe. You probably know "Fur Elise" as well, I'm thinking.
Yep - Beethoven. I attempted to learn to play a fingerstyle arrangement of it on the guitar at one point, but never really mastered it.
Sure is a purty piece of music, though!
"Fur Elise" is one of the few things I can still ~mostly~ play.
