I'm here. Just got back from food shopping. I'm making chili tomorrow.

This is a crisp, still night.

At least it's not a dark and stormy night.

True.

I like it when it gets dark very early. The long summer evenings wear me out. I like to be cozy inside. Not an outdoor person.

We are opposites. I love long, light evenings. I hate being indoors and always wish that I had more time outside when I get home at night.

I like summer evenings. November is kinda boring down here but that's better than what I'd get in Ohio.

Well when I had a yard I did enjoy the longer evenings. I really liked being out there watering everything with the hose. It was nice. Luckily I had very few mosquitoes.

But nowadays I have only a long balcony situation. So one might wonder if I'm inside anyway what difference does it make if the sun is up or not. I don't know. It is just a mental thing.

Are you making Thanksgiving plans? I do not have anybody over but I will still cook. Believe it or not the full traditional Thanksgiving feast is my specialty.

I'll probably go to the store and get just enough for myself since I don't expect anyone here.

Chili is good any time of year, but it is especially good in winter.

You should cook something to make the place smell good like Thanksgiving. Even if you just bake a frozen pie or bake a pan of yams or make you own stuffing. That is why I don't like to go out for Thanksgiving or Christmas. The restaurant meal may be fine and good but I hate to come home to a place that does not smell like anything and there are NO leftovers to graze on. For some reason that is important to me.

I make it like my mother used to. Real basic. Browned hamburger, onions, dark red kidney beans, canned diced tomatoes, lots of chili powder. But I like all kinds such as beanless, and hot peppers, etc. But sometimes I just fall back to comfort chili. Eat it with Saltines of course. I can make cornbread but the crackers are more traditional for me. I make a big batch so most of it can meld in the refrigerator for a couple days and get better and better.

Yeah, I've heard that movie is pretty extreme with its offensive humor. It does look very funny though.

I know I've gotten into debates with a lot of people on FR who find the Borat movie offensive and hate him for it.

What are you going to do in your spare time?

You know, I am going to miss your cartoons!

Well, right now, I'm trying to find a better job. If I do, I dunno...we'll see. Maybe someday in the future I'll be able to start it up again.
