For your bookmarking assistance, this is a reference list of links to the Aug 2006 or newer Free Republic threads on the topic of the JonBenet Ramsey murder case and the possible arrest of John Mark Karr as a suspect in her murder.
those two california attorneys - are out. the colorado public defender's office solely represents him now.
Bump.
Sincere thanks for all of your work.
LMAO! Odd that no one ever comes back from the bondage sites to relay what they have found...pretty interesting.
Thanks for all of your work keeping everything together here in one spot.
In the clip of him I heard, he said Karr, then immediately backtracked and indicated it was someone who he thinks resembled Karr. I didn't want that to get left out.
It all depends "how" and "what" you used to break it. We've all broken a hefty stick/branch by slipping it under our foot and snapping it.
I'm more inclined than ever to think he was in the house on another day before the crime. But which one?
Did Jonbenet have a monitor in her room? If I had the same type, could I monitor it from outside? Karr said he heard Patsy read to Jonbenet. Did she usually?
That note was well thought out. Certain "items" stick out: Monitor, "big" attache case, paper bag, $118,000. The other item is of course, the pad he used to write the note.
Haven't had a paper bag in my house in years, or a monitor. My brief cases are ordinary. Pads and pens are all over my house.
Did John Ramsey have an extraordinary "briefcase"? $118,000 in the bills described only take up about 6" x 12" x 2"....less than a 500 sheet box of 8" x 11 1/2" paper. No real big attache case needed.
The cops like myself misread the note. They set up a trace to catch any call which according to even the latest report was supposed to occur between 8 & 10 on the 26th-the same morning the note was found. But that is not correct.
The call was supposed to come on the 27th....It was clarified by the "get some rest". John Karr had planned on 24 hours at the least!!
And that part of the note was very emotional/physical: Exhausting, rest....and the words pickup/delivery....It sounds more like what (let's guess) John Karr was going through at the time. Obviously, there would be no rest, no pickup, no delivery for the Ramseys. This was all about John Karr.
Now go back to Karr's neighbor who said something about moving furniture on Christmas. It reminds me of the Scott Peterson case. If John moved people, i.e., drove a U Haul for extra money, it wouldn't be unusual.
Go back to Scott Peterson. Fishing wasn't unusual. Where he went to fish was unusual.
Did John Karr move his neighbor during the holidays of 1996? Speculation? Yes?
All Karr has to be is half way between Alabama and Colorado on the AM of the 26th and "check out of a motel" shortly thereafter.
Does anyone remember, factually, where the note *pad* was found? Who found it? When it was found?
I just can't remember and can't seem to find anything on it in the depositions or anything (so much to go through so might have overlooked it).
Thanks.
I've read two different locations on the pad already. My big thing is, I guess, is that he was in John Ramsey's Office area (attache case, $118,000)....maybe even sat in his chair.
The holidays are an atrocious time. Things are out of order in most houses. And they have a housekeeper who I'm sure occasionally does her own thing...like the knife in the closet.
I did find something that says that on the 26th of December, after JonBenet's body was found, John was asked to provide writing samples of himself and Patsy. Standard Operating Procedure apparently.
So he found a notepad that had some of Patsy's writing on it and handed it over.
So I know who found it and when, but not where.
Does anyone know what part of the house he picked that pad up from? I think I remember from memory but I want to be sure.
EYELIDS
It's been a long time ago but I thought I remember reading that the pad in question was found in the kitchen. Where it was *before* the note was written, I have not heard.
Wow only 320 post behind....Hope I catch up tonight.
I'm not sure what to think of the prior sexual abuse. There seem to be just as many experts on either side of that dispute, so we may never know.
As for the white's of the eyes, that's why I suggested we need an MD or something to look at this b/c the relevant, material question here is does petechial hemorrhaging in any place OTHER than the white's of the eyes NECESSARILY imply strangulation. I believe the answer is no, but not being an expert I'll wait and see what experts say, if and when they speak specifically to that point. This is very much a material question since petechial hemorrhaging can also be caused by head trauma.
It's easy enough to show that the coroner's report does not say anything about petechial hemorrhaging on the whites of the eye. But if we can find some expert reference that will indicate that strangulation is a necessary conclusion from some OTHER indication, then I'll go with that.
"think it's difficult to determine which killed her. I am thinking that she was still alive when the head trauma occurred."
I'm pretty sure that she was alive when the head injury occured but I agree that after that it gets confusing. So, I think we're saying the same thing.
Thanks
I just finished reading the *entire* deposition of Linda Arndt. She's in the "Ramseys did it" theory group. She said she 'knew it' the minute she saw JR bring JBR up from the basement b/c, partly, he was holding her oddly. He had her held up more from the abdomen up, and upright, so that her head was above his. Hmmmm...
Maybe it's an artifact of reading a deposition but she seemed rude, combative and evasive in the deposition and met with PR w/o telling anybody. Kinda odd. She seemed certain that JR had been sexually abusing JBR for a long time and that he had killed her. Anyway, there was a point in the interiew where the official (lawyer - judge?) for the court asked her if comments by co-workers that she was rude were true. She said that that is subjective. The official replied, "well, I guess it speaks for itself". I thought that was hilarious.
Just thought it was interesting. I didn't read much that would tell us much more other than it was clear that she (who was the only LE there at the time) could not account for his actions from 10:40 a.m. to noon.

Right. Learn more about petechial hemorrhaging, and about asphyxiation (sp).
Read about congestion and petechial hemorrhaging in the lungs.
Then read JonBenet's autopsy report again. She died from asphyxiation.
TO further your point, if you check JB had a physical on 8-27-96. The vaginal area was examined then. Most Dr's will check the vaginal area, when bed wetting exists. It CAN be a symptom of sexual abuse or yeast infection. IMO He was a good dr.
