I've read two different sites with autospy reports, but I believe I got this info from the one with the pictures. I'm assuming that the paint came from the handle as it seems logical. I know that my paint brushes have paint splashes all over them. The report referred to wood fragments recovered from the vaginal tract.

"The report referred to wood fragments recovered from the vaginal tract."

Really? Can you link that report? Which one was it?

The notch of shattered displaced skull fragment that is 1.75" x 0.5" is in the upper middle back of her head on the right side within the linear fracture.

Spitz thought it matched the switch on the MagLite.

You mean the one with the diagrams? - So there is one with the diagrams out there! - Do you know where it is? All autopsy reports normally have diagrams and I was wondering if they were released or held back from the public.

The thing about the Ramsey spin machine is that the Ramsey's were being tried in the media. Their lawyers had to do in public what should have been done in a court room if the evidence had been there to bring the Ramseys to court. It wasn't, so instead pressure was applied through the media. All these things were being spun into a specific scenario and they had no way to address it. How were they to respond?

It says it appears to be recent ("fresh") with no organization.

It means the heart was not pumping blood at the time, so there would be no swelling or bleeding.

That's why I asked the other day if it's possible that John accidentally whacked her head against something in his rush to carry her upstairs.

The way he was holding her, with her facing him, and her head turned to the right, and him out of his mind with panic, to me makes it at least worth looking into. She was stiff and he was running through the basement and up the stairs in a blind panic. He could have bumped her head against any number of things along the way and it wouldn't even have registered with him. His hair could have been on fire at that moment and he wouldn't have known.

No one replied medically though so I have no idea if it's even a possiblity or not.

I've seen it all, discussed it all, archived most of it and don't remember 1/4th of it, unless a group of us obsessed on one thing for a year or more.

I was kidding about the windowsill, lol!

Re your # 2,259, I don't dismiss or disrespect anyone's theory, because without further facts, the how of the head would certainly is open to speculation. I just won't go as far as you do in theorizing.

The best I can say from what the evidence tells me is that the wound could only have occurred in one of two ways: Either someone swung at her with an object that could drive a massive rectangular piece of skull into the child's brain, or her head hit a stationary object with sufficient force to cause that injury.

In other words, I think it's just as possible someone struck her as it is that her head violently smashed against something while she was being strangled. I don't think the two fatal events necessarily occurred separately at different times. I don't think we have enough facts to know either way.

The physics involved in calculataing the force of the blow would include leverage, mass, speed, distance from the child if the injury was from a blow, and the size and strength of the person who struck the blow. We just don't have enough information about those particulars to draw any conclusions about how the head wound occurred.

That is true. We have no answers so all of our theories are equally valid.

David Westerfield is an example. He planned and then did what he did. No prior killings.

Some of these guys kill to fulfill a fantasy. If JonBenet was the fantasy, other killings may be an attempt to relive it. The perp may have recreated the scene in his home.

Wiki can be edited. The autopsy indicated that she was a healthy child. It did indicate vaginal swelling and trauma, but said nothing about chronic abuse. I have read in other places that that rumor is false.

The garotte is in the photos, from several angles.

I always have trouble figuring out how a twisted piece of rope just stays in place when you let go of it.

Yes, let me go back and find it. I was warned because the photos are graphic. So, you might skip over that and go straight to the report.

She had repeated bouts of vaginal irration (per medical records). She still wet the bed fairly regularly. Also was advised to wipe from front to back and to stop taking bubble baths. All of these can cause irritation. Her doctor stated that there was nothing uncommon about what she was experiencing at her age.

Yes, but I've never heard of white paint being associated with the piece of cellulose, only clear, birefringent shellac.

Like I said, it could be a new tidbit released since I quite paying attention 2-3 years ago.

No, there was blood inside the layers of the membrane beneath the skull - just not a lot of it.

Not sure I'm following you. If they were truly innocent then there would be no forensics or physical evidence that a GJ would buy, so no worries. If there is a lot of evidence, the only way to avert a trial is to taint the jury pool via the media so the DA knows he has no chance. That's the way I see it, anyway.

Now, it could be that they were just REALLY unlucky and a lot of forensics and physical evidence mounted that just didn't jive with reality. THERE I could see the need for a spin machine.

well it would not completely unwind, but you would loose tension. It also depends on how many twist you have in it, how long the rope is and how many twists you can actually get into it. Eventually the last few twists in it will over twist on the first twists in the rope (does that make sense to you?)
