An arrest in the JonBenet Ramsey case is due to happen "shortly," according to sources in our newsroom -- I know I can't post the link to our site (we're a Gannett station, and despite the "ban", I would welcome the traffic), but most of you know where I work and what the site is...
According to our sister station in Denver, an arrest took place early this morning in Thailand.
Stand by for details and updates as they come in.
The suspect has confessed to certain elements of the crime that are unknown to the general public
Yeah - wait til they get him back to the states - he'll lawyer up. Won't be a confession.
No silly.
Thailand!
My guess is that they arrested Joren Van Der Sloot.
Where's her brother at, I always thought that he might have been involved.
That's all I know from watching the press conference on KUSA-Denver.
John F Kerry served in Cambodia...
Lucianne's headline, verbatim:
"MSNBC is reporting arrest soon of father of JonBennet Ramsey"
must be Bush's faut....
Thanks for the link. The website says the suspect knew info about the case that was not available to the public.

This report will be updated
MSNBC and CBS Radio are reporting there will be an arrest made in the 1996 death of JonBenet Ramsey.
MSNBC reported her father, John Ransey, was told to expect an arrest in the case shortly.
Denver TV station KUSA reports that a suspect arrested in Bankok, Thailand, has confessed to certain elements of the crime
"It's good to be the king." At least in the mind of the pedophile.
I'll be dammed.
Gary Condit?
Guess I should have read a bit further before posting!
Thailand?
I think Lucianne has it wrong because the article about this says that the suspect has information that the general public didn't have access to; the father had access to almost all the information.
Perhaps a pedophile was picked up in Bangkok and pictures were found implicating him? With all the publicity of this case the perpetrator would have run long and far. What better place could he find than in a country with child prostitutes?
