New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |

Still round the corner there may wait |

Home is behind, the world ahead, |

But of course! I don't know how late it will be though, since Ramius will be working and won't start assembly until he gets home.
I'm really excited about this. My only real concern is how I'll keep the girls quiet when I'm on the phone. :-/
This lady's a bit of trip. She invites herself over all the time. She'll say "I'm coming over, bringing the kids to swim...would Wednesday be ok?"
At first it was a bit startling and I would likely have been annoyed, but the company is good, we have a nice time and it motivates me to spiff up the house! LOL!!
So I tried it with her this week...emailed her and said "I thought I'd bring the boys over Thursday or Friday for a swim." Her response? "Great! Come over for lunch...we'll have hotdogs!"
Now I owe her a lunch! Ha ha ha!!
I'm saying this all very light-heartedly...she's a real nice person and I do enjoy her company.
Or she could spray them with the hose :~)
When I do conference calls from here, I keep my finger on the 'mute' button on the speakerphone, and leave it on mute when I'm not talking, in case the garbage man comes :~D
But I think a new firm 'work call' rule could be imposed too, that they understand.
hehehehe.....duct tape rules!
But yes, the "work call" idea is one that I've already started to explain. Becky gets it, but Aly doesn't.
I'll hafta use the mute button a bit until they get used to the new way of doing things.
Once the playroom is done, it will be much easier since they'll be otherwise entertained for hours in there. And school starts in a few months, so I'll have two days out of the week to catch up on phone calls and such sans kiddies.
I agree. If you impress upon them that your ability to stay home and work depends upon their cooperation, I bet they'll be ok. It might be hard with the little one, but Becky can remind her!
"Be quiet, or I'll be forced to sell you all for scientific experiments!"
That's exactly what I told Becky. And she's so excited about the idea of having me home that I know she won't be a problem.
Aly will have moments, but I'm sure she'll get it sooner or later. :-)
"Don't reason with it, just dominate it."
"See Mrs. Cartman, now he's in a calm, submissive state"
Ok! See you later!
awacs
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Prayers up for you and your family.
~snicker~
I wish that really worked. :-)
*Sigh*
Did you ever feel like you were Elmer Fudd...
...trying to invent a Dr Jekyll/ Mr Hyde formula...
...and Bugs Bunny was your experimental rabbit?
You bad! ;o)
Oh
Lookie
Here!
